I've been away from this site so long I forgot how to make a goddamn journal on here. Bleh.

Ok, I'm still alive, left this site figuring my art blog on tumblr would get some appreciation and stuff but.. Eh. Eh... eh.. It didn't, lmao. I mean, I'm still keeping it up and stuff but the community's... non-existent for me there. I'd go and make a new deviantART account except that they don't allow porn on there, which is something I'd like to get into drawing. So... Here I am. Crawling back.

I DID make artwork during my few years' absence, but I'd like a fresh start on a new account which I'll make.... In the future sometime. So I'm not sure if I'm putting that account together TODAY or in the near future, but when it happens, I'll link you guys there.

Hell, I don't even know if some of you remember me or if any of you are still accessing your own accounts, lol.

But lemme tell you guys what's been going on the past few years...

Thanks to rising rent prices and bedbugs, my husband and I moved in with my parents. So we're in a different state in the middle of bumbling bumblefuck Ohio. I'm incapable of working any job for a few reasons. One of them is that this area sucks when it comes to job opportunities. The other one is my poor health. I can't afford to eat right, I can't exactly figure out what's wrong with me (because I can't afford it and in this area, you're required to have a job in order to be able to have any financial assistance whatsoever), I most likely have endometriosis and can't afford to get that taken care of, and I also have depression and anxiety. My husband works a teensy bit above minimum wage at a retail store. So I do what I can around the farm here and help my parents out with some housework when I can.

But there's a bright-side: I got back into doing artwork! The downside of this is it's not digital. I may do digital specifically for coloring certain characters and stuff, but that's the extent of it. I've improved with acrylic painting, I'm excelling in charcoal drawing, I'm kinda trying to practice to draw people better (other projects and stuff keep side-tracking me), and I'm doing some DIY clothing. It's stuff that keeps me and my mind busy while we wait for certain legal things to happen so my parents (and us by proxy) can move into the northern area of the state so I can go back to college.

Speaking of college: I plan to go back to college just so I can get into paleontology. The Art Institute was a bust; it was a huge scam and I'm still suffering consequences of it. I should never have listened to that one teacher when I was in gradeschool that convinced me I was never smart because "only smart people become scientists." Paleontology was my passion, but it was crushed by that one asshole teacher. So I've had my passion rekindled. The end game is to live in or near Seattle and get my master's there in Paleobiology. That area has the best weather climate for both me and my husband, and has a nice balance of city and wilderness.

I've also gotten into vulture culture, something I couldn't do in the city of Pittsburgh because... well, you don't really always find the bones of dead animals (legally, of course) within city limits there. It's easier when living on a farm. I have an instagram (it's "clinkybones") that I post pics of my findings to. It's not a regularly updated thing because it all depends on what I find and when and where I find it.

And for the furry part of my life: I've finally settled in to a goddamn fursona: a vampire bat. Because.... reasons. I don't know all of my reasons, I'm just very content with that. My husband (for if and when I choose to include his fursona in drawings) is a silverback gorilla.

So once I get a new profile up (whenever that may be, but it will happen), I'll make a new journal here and link you guys to it. I'll have a link to my art blog on tumblr in case you guys are curious or interested (and I do reblog things from other blogs for helpful references), but I haven't updated it in a while largely because I'm working on some Halloween punk pants and I'm too lazy to post WIP stuff (which I do on my Twitter).

Well, my causing the apocalypse didn't go quite as planned. *gave up on it*

Anyways. I've been away because I don't really have much to post on here except one submission which I will put up here after I finish typing this journal out.

I've been kind of out of it in terms of art and furry-related things the past couple of years. Also, the past.. I think 2 years, I haven't attended Anthrocon because I couldn't afford it. I don't know if I'll be able to this year because by that time, I will more than likely be busy starting a business.

For those of you who have me friended on Facebook, I have not made mention of this on there because I have certain friends and family members on FB that will try to put me down for it. I'm trying very hard to stay positive so I don't end up giving up.

Anyways, I plan to open up a comic book shop. Reason being is because there are no jobs that are available in the area that I can get to (no car) that I qualify for, and even if I did qualify for some of these jobs, my income would not be anywhere near enough to make student loan payments. The total amount of payments Sallie Mae is asking me for for each month for everything is damn near a grand. I can't afford that. At all. So I'm attending the community college to try and put off having to pay loans until I have a decent income getting me on my feet properly.

As far as hiring is concerned, I have two good friends from Maryland that will be co-owning the store with me. I'll only be able to afford paying for two other people other than myself, and they're stuck in a rut where they're at as well.

I also haven't had the chance to go to Tekkoshocon because I can't afford that, either. My fiance works at the casino and he's the only source of income we have to be able to pay rent and for food.

I believe to some of you I've made mention of making buttons in the past and selling them. I'm not sure if I'm going to be doing fanart on the buttons anymore, but if I do plan on selling the buttons, i'll be doing that on Etsy. I have an account on there, but haven't sold anything just yet. I'd also like to order the different sized sets for the different sized buttons I could make.

Lately, I've been reading books about sexuality, which I've been needing to and thank goodness I have. I'm very pissed I haven't learned about how my body parts work (in terms of EVERYTHING, not just the vagina and babies part) back in high school. (I've also been reading a few books about feminism, too.)

Originally, I wanted to become a comic book artist. Well, with the way women seem to be treated in any "geek" community, I don't see that happening in terms of me getting my name recognized in the popular publishing companies like Marvel and DC, and apparently there's also some strange mistreatment as well here and there. So I don't think I'll become a comic book artist just yet. It seems more possible of me being a bit of a success with starting my own comic shop. Ideally, i'd like to be located in South Side since there's parking and plenty of foot-traffic. Some people I've ran into in South Side have wondered where the nearest comic shop is. So I figured why not.

I've had plenty of experience working in a comic shop to understand how I want this all set up. The only thing keeping me from applying for a business grant at the moment is the fact that I don't take my small business management class until next semester. Around the middle of the semester is when I'll apply for the business grant and start making some moves in getting the space and shit we need to start this off with.

Also, I've been trying to find out what's wrong with my body in terms of why I feel sick and such a lot. Part of it is the possibility of having endometriosis, which can't be officially diagnosed unless I have exploratory surgery and I cannot afford that nor do I trust that at the moment with MRSA going around for anyone that does go under the knife (in this area, anyways, according to what a friend told me). Another thing is I'm trying to figure out if I have food allergies or if just have some sort of gluten intolerance problem. I can't officially go get that checked out since I can't afford that, either (my insurance only cover visits to the gyno), so i'm going to be experimenting with my diet to find out for sure.

Now, the only thing I can confirm is that there is a possibility that before spring, I might have some button designs up and ready (on display) on my Etsy if anyone is interested. There's going to be some that deal with feminism, some dealing with comics, etc. I'll see if I can do a few that's furry-related. Unfortunately, these are large buttons and it's weird because they cost less than the smaller ones from the site I got them from. I might be able to get the smaller set at some point next month, so we'll see about that.

Anyway, sorry for being dead for a bit. I'll go post a dinosaur now.

I'll probably start the livestream itself before 9pm tomorrow night, but only to get everything situation since I don't like people to hear my voice. This will also all be digital, too. I've been in depression and job-hunting.

Believe it or not, I work at Claire's, only for seasonal help. I love who I work with, but I don't belong there. My knowledge of girly-related things is extremely limited. Should've tried Gamestop instead; at least I would've had a chance. (But noooooo, I had to get all intimidated at Gamestop..)

I didn't know Claire's did piercings, and I don't like watching it and I definitely don't wanna do it. (One of those "I seriously fucking can't" things.. we all have them.) So in order for me to stay working there, I'd have to be able to do so... Fuck it.

Soon, hopefully, I should be getting back into drawing. Not sure when, though.

January is when I'm supposed to attend the community college as a strategy to temporarily avoid having to pay off loans because I seriously can't afford to pay anything off.

Aaaand as far as fursuiting is concerned, we can't afford that. So if I ever manage to go to Anthrocon this year, chances are I'm not going to be in a fursuit. I don't think I'll be n a costume at all. I'll probably just be going as an "independent journalist" because... well, I've got nothing better to do. *shrug*

I'm not uber pissed or throwing a tantrum or anything. I'm just plain out bummed. Turns out we're REALLY tight on cash. It was either the con and having short-term and possibly short-lived happiness and satisfaction of doing something for one day, or purchasing the button-making kit for both long-term goals of making money off of artwork and custom buttons at Tekkoshocon (and through dA/FA) while getting my name out and also having the ability to do something for a reason and not sit around feeling useless due to no school (currently; I'll be attending a community college soon) and unemployment.

But I'll DEFINITELY be attending next year. I just didn't expect Greg to seriously screw me over at Eide's which would result in my quitting and it taking so long for Jeremy to find a well-paying job.

By the way, speaking of jobs, I applied for a kitchen utensil store called In The Kitchen and it looked like I was the only applicant for as long as they've had that help wanted sign up in their window.. So let's hope I get that job.

I'll be struttin' around with my faux-hawk and a possible pair of hyena ears on my ears or something. I dunnow, I haven't gotten as far as wearing ears just yet... I don't have a tail and I don't know if I will. I might be able to purchase one in the dealer's room if I don't see anything else I want but I doubt the tail-thing because a hyena doesn't have a distinct tail, plus I find tails to be a hassle since they always get in the way when sitting or using the bathroom. Aaaaand I'm rambling.

But the only thing I'll be showing off is my faux-hawk. I don't have any on-the-spot performing talents of any kind except the moments I pick to make people laugh. I feel kinda lame and stupid for not having a special "thing" to get to do at AC. Although, I COULD try to look like a bad-ass... That's about as far as it goes. >__>;

I haven't started on them yet considering I don't have the button-maker just yet. My fiance is supposed to buy it for me online this Thursday at some point along with some blank buttons to practice with first.

I'll be practicing with making custom buttons for myself and for locals around here for about a buck a button if it's custom-drawn, and 50 cents if you want it a screenshot or already existing image of something. Once I get the hang of it, I'll be ordering a good lot of blank buttons and begin with some of my own custom buttons like Dragonball Z, Pokemon, etc. You know, stuff that I can REALLY sell when I sell them at Tekkoshocon next year. Those buttons will be $1.25 each and I'll make sure I'll have plenty made for a good sale.

Unfortunately, because of the "lottery process" with getting a table at Artist Alley at Anthrocon, I won't ave a table there, but I will advertise some furry-related buttons in my gallery. These buttons will include already existing characters like Road Rovers, Biker Mice from Mars, and even Street Sharks.

As far as a table at the Pittsburgh Comicon is concerned, I'm not sure considering I don't know what their regulations are with getting a table. If I am able to get one there, then I'll be sure to update everyone here about it. I'd LOVE to get a comic made to sell or just have it as a freebee for one of the webcomics I'd like to make.

Speaking of webcomic, the webcomic that stars me and  KirbyFox I sall be working on soon with the first issue as well as other scripts or the other issues as well. It's a non-profit webcomic I'll be working on that will have some short stories based off true events and others will consist of already existing characters we'll interact with, mainly Etrigan to show how creative I can be with his rhyming dialogue. It's just a fun webcomic that I do not plan on making any profit off of whatsoever.

And right now, I'm looking for a job to try and pay off loans with as well as set a side-savings aside for a new apartment I'd like to get in South Hills Village in a couple of years. However, my commission prices on FA will remain the same. As far as my dA account is concerned, I'm not sure at the moment as far as commissions are concerned. First of all, I'd like to announce that I am finally getting back into the mood of drawing thanks to the help of  KirbyFox coming to my apartment and chilling with me. I've finished the penciled concept of Nite Owl vs Gengar and I plan to make this as a laptop skin. I just need to make the line art in Photoshop and then I'll be livestreaming the coloring process in Illustrator (I'll post a journal stating when I'll be livestreaming that in the future sometime).

Secondly, I'd like to say that thanks to  pandemic_puddin is going to help me get a button-maker next paycheck (which, if I'm correct, is this Thursday) along with blank buttons. I'll be practicing making custom buttons so that I can sell/make buttons at Tekkoshocon of next year in Artist Alley. The buttons will range from some Pokemon to Digimon, some Dragonball Z characters (each eating American food), and a couple other things (including Bo-Bobo buttons). I'll also be advertising on here that I will be making custom buttons for a commission on here, but the details for the price has yet to be specified since it's too early to really tell.

Third, I plan to buying materials for a Pokemon cosplay for Anthrocon. Because of how I am planning this, it shouldn't be too difficult or take too long to make a Haunter cosplay. I have yet to see it done and there's too much Pikachu and Lucario bullshit, so I'mna be a Haunter.

And finally, I have the very best of news for all of you. This is the greatest thing to have ever been said to the American people. Yes. This is very true. After a few years of anticipation, waiting, and hoping, it has finally happened. I'M ENGAGED! YES, I am engaged to  pandemic_puddin! (as of 04/29/11)

Considering Jeremy, my mate, got a job, I got to lower commission prices, most I've knocked 5 bucks off. So yeah. ^^ Soon I'll be drawing furry art again, so you can expect more form me soon. :P

Chances are I won't be in a fursuit at all, but then again, with Jeremy's new job, there's a chance he'll contribute and I may get my Blaziken fursuit done.

BUT! I will dedicate either a whole half or one full day going around the convention asking all kinds of furries, whether they fursuit or not, and I'm going to request that they all dance, play air guitar, whatever. I will take ALL of that footage and put them together to the song "Party Party Party" by Andrew W.K. I do encourage those not fursuiting to go ahead and sing if they know the words (considering "party party party" is said a lot XD) so I can try and lip sync the footage to the song. I'm going to make us look fucking epic. And then I'mna post it on my YouTube because it's epic. WE CAN BE LOOKED UPON AS EPIC! But only if I can get some help. :P

And  Catofmount, if it's okay, I'd like to get footage of you in both of your fursuits. :P

Hell, I might be able to bring something along to play the music so no one feels awkward. One of the main reasons why I wanna do this is to show my family that hey! We're not all perverted! We can be just plain ol' crazy folk. :P
