So yes, hello! It’s me again. After being so inactive after… 9 months, I believe? I’ve probably been forgotten over time, as I’ve been active on other sites, limiting my art quite a bit. But the reason I require your attention right now, is because of this…

I’m moving over to a new FA account.

There are two reasons for this. I simply wanted to register under a new name that is of more importance to me, as my current name, Nordavind, is related to one of my OCs, which isn’t exactly what I want.

Other than that, I wanted a fresh start. A place where I can give my full focus and attention on replying to comments, be more active and try to take more part in everything.

I made this user back in March, earlier this year. So there are already some drawings posted in the gallery. I’m still working on my watchlist, adding favorites here and there. Getting the basics done to make it look more “finished”.

So from now on, I’ll post all of my art to my new account, Mieran. If you still wish to add me to your watchlist and keep up with my art whenever I post it and general updates, make sure to add me!

And what will happen to this profile? I’m still keeping my Nordavind user, although it’ll be kind of dead from now on. A part of me wishes to use it as a sort of sketchblog, where I’ll spam all of my less detailed and not-so serious stuff. Maybe some sketchdumps now and then?

Alright, so let us just jump right into the details! For a long time now I have considered to start taking commissions since people have sent me notes about it over a certain amount of time and I feel pretty bad when I have to turn them down simply because I lack enough info to start taking them.

I’ve done a fair amount of research and consideration, hoping that I might be able to open up for commissions already in 2015, but there are still a few things I’m curious about. This is where you guys can help me out.

I mainly want to know who would be interested to commission me if I started taking them. If you are one of them, you can tell me by commenting on this journal or keep it more private through a note/PM.

There is also one last thing I’m curious about. It will most likely not change anything, but I want to know how much you think my art is worth.

I'm not exactly leaving, but more or less taking a break for an unknown amount of time.

I've planned this for a while since my art situation is pretty bad. My current goals is to get back into drawing and improve it in the process. I also want to keep posting my art online, but I need somewhere less official to remove most of the pressure I have on my shoulders right now.

I'm not going to remove my art from my gallery, so people will still be able to find them there as always.

I'll still be around to stalk the people I watch and answer important notes etc. but I will not post more art here for the time being.

I thought it would be quicker to write a journal, but I wanted to give an apology to everyone that has been sending me Notes and PMs where I haven't replied at all. I have disappeared for over a month now and it looks like it'll still stay that way for a while longer. I just needed a little break from the internet to get some control over stuff I need to do.

I'm hoping to get back to everything as soon as everything settles down a bit.

I pretty much forgot or never took the time to write a new journal, but I got back home from the hospital a week ago. It was really tiring, but I've finally been diagnosed after being hospitalized for almost six weeks in total. So it feels pretty good to be back home and start my new year. I'm hoping to get working early so maybe I can spit out some serious art for once. C:

Other than that, not much is happening. I'll try to spend my days studying anatomy, colors and other stuff I might find useful for my art. I'm thinking of drawing more traditionally before scanning them and color in Photoshop. I have more control over the lines and anatomy when drawing traditionally than I do digitally, so I thought this could add a nice touch to my art. c:

First I'll give a short summary of me being hospitalized. I didn't have any internet at the hospital, so sorry for not being active with chat and art. I first stayed there for one week, then they told me they wanted me to stay there for one more week. After that they wanted me to stay for three weeks. xD
I got back home some days ago, and since then I've tried to catch up with all the christmas stuff I've missed this month. I'll have to return to the hospital for another two-three weeks in early January tho.
It'll be more difficult, but I'll be more prepared next time! c:

I'm a bit disappointed in myself this year. I haven't been able to draw much and I barely have enough drawings to put together an improvement meme for 2013. I'll try to look a bit more into it and see if I can find some material to use, but it'll probably be pretty empty. xD
I'll do my best to improve my skills and bring my art to a whole new level in 2014, so I'm really looking forward to it!

As the title says, I'll be hospitalized for an unknown amount of time tomorrow. I'm aiming to stay there for a week at least. If I'll manage to stay there more or less depends, so we'll find out in due time.

The reason I'm telling you this is because I don't know if I'll have access to internet over there, and I will also not be able to draw digitally or post traditional art for a while. So there won't be art from me on dA, FA, and Tumblr for least a week.

It's no surprise I've been dead for a long time, and hopefully I'll kick myself in the butt to change it soon. I've been more active on DeviantArt, but after considered it for almost a year, I might leave dA for a good while. I simply hate the new updates they've added and I'm not very fond of their new way to submit drawings. e_e
If I leave dA, that means I'll have more time to spend on FA. Which means I might be able to answer comments and shouts once and for all.
I finally updated my profile a bit and added some more information about me, if people are interested. May or may not update it over time.

Hey everyone! I’ve been dead on FA the past three months, judging from my last journal entry. I have to apologize for being gone for so long and not uploading as many drawings that I’ve wanted to.

I’ve been rather inactive when it comes to all websites. My energy is rather low at the moment, and because of this I rarely have the inspiration to draw as often as I used to. I’m starting to consider to kind of “leaving” DeviantArt, as well. The community isn’t what it used to be, and I feel it’s not always worth it anymore. I got a Daily Deviation for my Nordavind drawing, and I’m extremely grateful for it, no doubt, but not even that changed the activity on my profile that much.
So there are chances I’ll get less active on dA, and rather spend most of my time on FA.

I also want to say thank you for all the support I’ve already gotten here on FA in the short time I’ve been active here. You can say I feel much more welcome, and people are actually answering when I ask for help. For this, I am extremely grateful!

When I’ll start getting active again, I can’t tell, but I’ll do my best. Sooner or later I’ll decorate my profile a bit more, introduce myself by adding a little description. I also want to get better at replying all of the wonderful comments I get!

Also, last week I finally got my credit card, so that means I can now get myself a Paypal, and I might be able to open for commissions in the near future. I will try to start rather slow though, only be open for 2-3 slots as a start, and they’ll most likely be something simple.
If it works out, I’ll start to take bigger commissions like full body drawings with complete backgrounds etc.

I’m not sure what more there is to say for the moment, but I want to say welcome to my new watchers, and I hope I won’t disappoint!

The "famous" 2012, the doomsday year, is already over. It's taken ages, still it feels like it's passed by quickly.

I can honestly say that 2012 hasn't been my best year. Some unreal things has happened, and I'm still in the same situation as I've been since 2011. I wish I had been able to draw much more, as I've only published 5 serious drawings during the whole year.

I think my art is starting to look a bit more like the style I'm trying to achieve, and I'm really looking forward to 2013.
2013 will give us all a new start, and this is what I could really need right now.

There are chances I'll start to open for commissions in the new year, and hopefully I can finish art I owe people once and for all. I'll do my best to kill my art-block and writing-block. It will take some time for sure, but I'm desperate to start drawing again. :v
So I'm looking forward to it!

I haven't had a single moment of christmas cheer in all December, and I'm not having any of it today either, but who cares. It's Christmas! C:

I actually managed to wake up early enough this morning to enjoy it a little. Having a nice breakfast and watching some movies they launch each year. It's turned into quite a tradition by now.
We'll probably eat dinner around 6 PM and watch some series on TV. Probably won't open up the presents until 8-9 PM, and we'll end up using three hours more or less to open them all up. xD
We don't have tons of presents, we just like to take it slow and chat, enjoying the day. The christmas tree always looks so empty when this night is over.

I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas, and I really hope you'll have tons of fun, even if you celebrate it or not! <:

Greetings all! It's been ages since my last journal, and sadly I haven't been active enough to write a new one or publish drawings. Replying to comments is also an issue, and I should really get better at it. I want you to know that I read all of the comments and I really can't thank you enough for the wonderful feedback! I do hope I'll get much more active on FA and get better at replying to you. That's pretty much the main goal at the moment.

Alright, let's get to the updates! I've been dead on this page for probably a month or more now, and I slightly blame WoW and GW2 for that. I get easily distracted by those sneaky bastards. D:

ACTIVITY

I'll do my best to get more finished drawings in my gallery to decorate a little. Write some information about myself and make this blank profile page look more dashing. I might do some cleaning and put all of the WIP shots aside. Luckily for me, the weekend is just around the corner so I'll get time to do so!

COMMISSIONS

In my last Journal, I was considering commissions, and they would really help me get better at deadlines and art. Not to mention business. I'll have a few discussions with a few people and get things in order before I'll officially open them. I still need some fresh examples of what I have to offer, and not to mention prices.
I'd really love to hear your opinion of what you think my art is worth. If you have the time, choose a drawing you like in my gallery and say a price you'd pay to get something in the same quality. Something to give me an idea to go after.

Once I have pretty much everything in order, I'll probably feel confident enough to have my first commissions. <:

LIVESTREAMS?

I have tried some Livestreams in the past, and they can be very useful. Like damn useful! The problem is that nobody shows up no matter what I do. I haven' really announced any Livestreams here on FA yet, and so I wondered if you think it's a good idea? Is anyone interested to see how I work, ask me questions and probably have a tiny lesson or two? If there is one thing I'd really love to do, then it's helping people improving. So I'm open for questions pretty much all the time! So what should I do?

I've been working, trying to figure out how to fix the scanner. We found the problem tho. it turned out that my dad had locked it, so it wouldn't scan no matter what computer it would be.
Since it's up and running again, I can start with more traditional sketches and studies. Another thing, I've been thinking and trying to prepare myself for this, I'm considering to take commissions. I've sometimes received mails from people, asking if I'm open for them, but I sadly have to turn them down.

I'm not sure if I'm ready for this, mostly because I'll be concerned about my customers. The last thing I ever want to do is disappoint them. You may have noticed that I've only posted WIPs and sketches recently, not adding a single finished piece. So my biggest fear is not being able to give the commissioners what they want, or even deliver at all.
I've put up a list about what I should do before I start taking them. Once the list is starting to take an end, I'll probably put a list with prices, so I have quite some planning to do. It would also be nice to hear your opinion of what my art is worth.

Other than that, I still need to get myself a paypal. Easily fixed.
I might start with two slots. So I won't accept a massive blow with orders. I rarely draw after someones request, so I'm afraid I'll ruin everything. xD

The weeks pass by too quickly. Feels like I haven't been able to enjoy my holiday completely. Sucks a bit. :I
I have to admit that even tho my drawings isn't going too well, I've managed to write on my stories more often. So you can say around... 500 words, more or less each day, the past days. I thought that maybe more Livestreaming could get more speed on my drawing. It sure was proved yesterday. :V
The question is; how many are interested? In that case, it would like to know what time of the day. Timezones and such.

Time for the main news. I'm off to my second home; Denmark. We'll probably leave 11:00 PM or around midnight. It's gonna be an extremely tiring trip due to some changes...
When we get to Denmark, we usually drive straight to the hut, but this time we'll head for Germany instead to buy all kinds of drinks and snacks. Usually, we wait a couple of days before we do that. Change in plans, so the trip will be longer.

We'll be traveling for 18 hours and more. I better make myself comfortable in my seat. :I

Anyways, so this means I'll be gone for two weeks. We have gotten ourselves internet at the hut, but we're not sure how good it is, so I'm not sure how active I'll be during this time. Less internet means more concentration, so that's a good thing, I guess. Means I'll focus much more on drawings and writing.
I just hope I'll be able to fix the scanner so I can start experimenting with comic pages again.

Just 7 hours left, and I still have heck a lot of packing to do. xD
