I'm aliiive
General | Posted 7 years agoAgainst all odds, I'm safe and sound. No worries folks, I've not gone missing.
However I won't say I had it easy, either. Every two to three days from late December to early March, heavy snowstorms hit our country without giving us any breaks whatsoever. The temperature also varied greatly, going from viking weather to just below zero, thus gifting us with all sorts of precipitation: dry snow, wet snow, slush, hail, ice, high winds, fog and rain. To add to this, the temperature not only shifted daily, but it also varied within hours - it would snow dryly during the morning but rain in the afternoon, and then everything would freeze by evening. Every one of us has literally raced against the clock for more than eight weeks to keep our parking lots, ground windows, door exits and backyard paths (for those with cattle) snow and ice-free. It was a marathon effort, and it took its toll on all of us.
My country has officially broken its historical record of most accumulated snow per winter season this year, and it shows in my backyard - or what little left I can still see of it, anyway. Going by sight and using my own height for a scale, I'll say we've at least received three meters and a half of snow, a third of which melted away via three unusually warm days in-between all the snowstorms, to leave us with six solid feet of compacted snow for springtime to melt off. I've never stood outside with snowbanks looming over me before - being too short to see above them. It's a strange feeling, and quite the humbling experience.
Honorary mentions go to my trustworthy shovel, taken out mid-January by ice and still being held hostage by mother nature despite many attempts on my part to free it from her greedy hands. Condolences also go to our old snowplower, which valiantly struggled to keep us afloat during the hardest weeks, but ultimately drowned under March's onslaught of wet snow, never to restart again. It leaves in its wake the primary and secondary paths to our house clear of snow, that we'll now have to maintain solely by hand. I also mourn my mittens, worn out before their time due to the excess work I had to drag them through. For her part, mom had to say goodbye to the roof of the wood shed - a big, thick icicle crashed right through it, courtesy from the looming house roof above that saw its snow melt and build into menacing icicles as temperature kept changing. That's going to be costly to repair, snif.
Lastly, a big hurray for the heroes in this year's seasonal battle, namely my faraway cousin that drove four hours to come lend us a hand when snowstorms threatened to literally engulf our home; my mother who proved a seasoned warrior by unstoppably going out to clear the paths despite her arthritis and twisted back (bless you, mom); the nameless gentleman who never failed to clear out our parking lot on time with his own snowplower despite the hellish weather he was faced with, and myself for saving an unlucky bird from freezing to death after some raging winds made it crash against our balcony window. Another hero to put on the hall of fame is the resident tabby (Doctor Furball) cat Marco, who kept us all from going insane with his silly cat antics and demands for attention.
This winter has driven home the need to be prepared for worst-case scenarios. It was not a catastrophe per se, but it could have become one had it lasted any longer. So, I'm going to use the upcoming springtime to try my hand at indoor gardening, and search ways to continue gardening during the winter months, in case another record breaker winter season threatens to block us all in our houses like this one almost did. So, lots of renovations ahead for me in the near future.
For those who are wondering, no, I have not drawn anything. All of my energy has gone into battling the snow outside, and the resulting exhaustion and stress has greatly impacted my mood (I've grown angsty), and my muse (that has gone blank). Even if I wanted to, I'm in no shape to draw right now. I do hope this will change when greenery starts filling the backyard though. Spring is the season of rebirth, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that my muse comes back along with the change of seasons.
Well, that's it for now. I wish you all a happy springtime, and good luck with your art and gardening! ^^

Happy New Year to you all everyone! ^^

What is this?!
General | Posted 7 years agoI have just been informed that someone went and traced one of my art pieces without my knowledge or consent. WHAT.
I am not happy with this, At all. This is the Holidays, this is Christmas Day, and logging in to hear a picture of mine, that I had put so much effort and time into creating, was traced by someone else is just.... I have no words to express how furious I am.
Wanting to draw is okay. Craving specific art and fetishes is okay too, we all go through that phase. But if one would rather trace or utterly copy other people's pictures than make their own to achieve their goals, then that is NOT okay. That's called stealing art, taking credit for something they didn't initially make, and not even asking permission from the rightful original artist before they do the deed. That also shows us other artists that they'd rather take shortcuts instead of creating their own style of art, and doing so is both very offending and insulting to others.
This is a warning. I do NOT tolerate traced or stolen art. I do NOT tolerate thieves, ill-intended stalkers and copy-cats. If I find any other art pieces of mine under someone else's username without my explicit consent, on any drawing site whatsoever, I WILL report the person to the admins, and I WILL flag the guy or girl on any social media I have an account on.
The person who did this to me also seems to stalk and trace other Greninja artists, so all of you fellow Pokemon lovers who draw Greninjas, keep an eye out for potential stolen artwork. Tracing and stealing should not be left to spread, ever.
Merry (busted) Christmas guys, hope you have a better Holiday than I do, and hit New Year's Eve without any problems. Sorry for popping up with an angry journal, but this is serious business, and concerns us all artists.
I'll try to give a positive journal next time I post one.

Dammit...
General | Posted 7 years agoI apologize for dropping in activity again, but mother nature decided to curse my part of the globe with bad weather that keeps coming back in a loop (wet snowfalls, hail, rain, strong winds and oftentimes a combination of the four plus temperatures that switch between dangerously warm and too freaking cold in just a few hours), so I'm stuck scrambling to pelt everything by hand almost every day before it freezes by evening. Add ground windows I need to keep unobstructed all around my home, and I have alot of ground to cover. Cumulative fatigue and sore arms mean I'm not in the best shape to draw right now, and I need all the remaining energy to ensure things don't get out of hand like they almost did a few times previously.
Rest assured though, I am fine and no catastrophe has hit my home. My main concern is ensuring I have a safe path to walk through during the winter months, which seems to have arrived in my country two weeks earlier than expected this year. Jazz is not happy about it, meh.
Ah well. Things like this happen, there's not much i can do about it but plow through one step at a time. I'll see the light at the end of the tunnal at some point.
Hope you're all doing good out there, guys! See you next time!

I'm taking a break
General | Posted 7 years agoI know I've not been much active on FA since spring and I'm sorry for that, but like I guessed in a previous journal, 2018 is a year packed with action.
As the title says, I'm going to be off the computer for the next few weeks. I was hoping to post this journal along with some new art, but the picture I was working on demands more work than I could afford in the time I had left, so my next update won't be before September. Sorry for the delay guys :(
Art trades are gonna be closed in my absence, as I can't exactly work on those while I'm away. For those who are already in a trade with me, know that I'm putting my side of the trade temporarily on hold. I'll continue where I left off once I'm back online.
I wish you all a happy summer season, and see you all soon!

I'm Alive
General | Posted 7 years agoJust a shout to tell you all that I'm alive and kicking :P
I wasn't that well a week ago though, I took alot of time to recover. I'm mostly good now, but getting back into drawing after a month and a half of inactivity feels odd to me, as though I've been knocked out of place. It's a weird feeling, and one I hope will go away soon.
Alot of things have happened since my last journal. Long story short: this break saw me and most of my family members get hit in one way or another with health issues of all kind, and difficult choices had to be made along the way. I'm feeling better now, but am supporting my mother to give her the best chances to recover from her own problems. For this reason plus a few others, my time on the computer is short, and used for other things than art right now. But, that does not mean I am not active on FA. I will keep answering PMs and comments if I receive any.
As soon as my mother is back to normal, and my time a bit more loose, I will do my best to resume my art. I might not update as often as before though, since 2018 is shaping up to be a year packed with action. Only time will show me how it turns out as the months go by.
Thank you for reading, and see you soon guys ^^

Sorry Guys
General | Posted 8 years agoIt's been one big storm after another on my head for the last two weeks, leaving me utterly drained on all levels and with a swaying health.
I need time to recover, so until I feel strong enough to draw again I'll leave all my art on hold and stop posting for now. Same for requests; I haven't forgotten them either, I just don't have the strength and necessary focus to make something good on tablet at the moment. I'll continue where I left off once I feel better.
Thanks for reading this guys, and I wish you all a good day ^^

Alright, so.
General | Posted 8 years agoDoes anyone have an idea which Pokemon episode this screenshot comes from?
http://pokemonfanon.wikia.com/wiki/.....Kalos_Team.png
My attempts to find out more about this picture have not yielded anything, so I'm at a loss on how Ash and his Kalos team have earned those pendants. Unless this image is fan-made, (in which case I tip my hat to whoever has drawn this like a professional), there should be some info about this screeshot somewhere, but to my bewilderment I keep turning up empty.
Either I'm looking in the wrong data bases, or I've missed a site somewhere that talks about it, but either way the mystery of those Pokeball pendants is driving me nuts. How on earth did Ash and his Kalos team win those pendants??

My 2018 Objectives
General | Posted 8 years agoAs a newbie digital artist, I've still got alot to learn about digital art. The list of things I want to master just keeps getting longer too.
I want to master....
- Sketching
- Lineart
- Base colors
- Cell-Shading
- Soft Shading
- Highlights
- Backlights
- Filters
- Textures
- Special effects
- My brushes
- My drawing program
I need to find a way to decently draw and color....
- Face expressions and their equivalent on whatever face I draw them on (human or otherwise)
- Human - humanoid anatomy (hair, face, limbs, hands, feet, pretty much everything)
- Body poses and angles
- Hairstyles (I can't make tresses to save my life, how the hell am I gonna draw one...)
- Glowing eyes and objects
- The Elements (Water, Fire, Earth, Wind, etc)
- Fur
- Grass
- Trees
- Clouds
- Bubbles
- Natural sceneries
- Good and bad weather + the color-shading effect they have on a picture (oh boy.)
- Architecture (*wince*)
- Clothes (my worst nightmare, I have no eye for fashion whatsoever)
- Bedsheets
- Folds for the two upper subjects
- Realistic movements (like running, jumping, skidding and even thrusting....)
(this color means I've mastered it, this color means I'm practicing, this color means I'm struggling and this color means I've not started yet.)
My main objective is to do at least one picture per week, the more the better. Keeping a steady rhythm of updates is something I'm trying to achieve, if only to prove myself that I can work under a tiny bit of stress.
... I honestly don't think I'll master each and every one of these subjects in a year, as only practice will make me better and that takes time. Buuut I can still try to figure out as many of them as I can before the year ends. I've already got a good head start, so that has to count for something.
BTW Happy New Year guys, hope 2018 will be good year for you all!

How would you reunite Ash and Greninja?
General | Posted 8 years agoFor all of those who think Ash and Greninja should meet again, and maybe possibly stick together for good this time, how would go you about bringing them back together again?
Drop a comment if you have an answer. No hate or flaming please ^^

I will not be drawing for a while
General | Posted 8 years agoLast week was especially stressful and this one is packing up with delays and problems. Everything from personal art, requests and trades that are undertaken will be put on hold until I can somehow fix everything.... which should at least take this entire week. It sucks more than I would like to admit, but life is unpredictable like that u_u
I will still be an active member though, replying to notes and comments sent my way. I will just not be drawing or posting anything for the next little while.

Art Trade List
General | Posted 8 years agoSince I keep finding people who are very saddened by the fact they can't do trades regularly due to lack of volunteers, I've decided to make a list of all the people I know of who don't mind doing trades. This includes people I've done trades with up until now.
PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO CHECK THEIR PROFILE FOR TRADE STATUS - NOT EVERYONE I'VE LISTED BELOW IS CURRENTLY OPEN FOR ART TRADES! Some are also choosy or have preferences, so be sure to assess your own capabilities before PMing them for an Art Trade.
Also if they refuse, don't have the time or are simply not interested, please don't complain to them or spam my own mails about it. I'm doing this to help you guys, not get bashed every time you get a 'no' as a reply.
**If any of the traders listed below wishes to have their name removed to stay private, just send me a PM and I'll remove it.***
Please keep in mind that art trades aren't always as good or precise as commissions, since this is an exchange and not a customer-bought image.
If you want something incredibly specific or detailed, go ask for a commission and be ready to pay for it.
If you don't want to buy anything, wish to practice your drawing skills, meet new people and get to have fun drawing something, Art Trades are for you.
Now with that out of the way.... here's my list, which I will update whenever I find a new trader to add below. If you know someone who knows someone else that's fine with Art Trades, drop a comment below and I'll add them to this list too.

- Tits on any kind of Pokemon, unless it's a realistic setting (like a Liepard feeding its young).
- Fat fetishes and deformed bits (big boobs, big bottom, big balls, big/long penis, etc)
- BDSM & Slavery
- Humiliation kinks
- Rape & non-con stuff
- Torture (the bad kind)
- Gore (violent stuff like blood play, waxing, whipping, innards, carnivorism, etc.)
- Vore
- Mechas
- Extreme fetishes
If you post a fetish that I don't like after informing myself on the subject, I will add it to this list.
Not my cup of tea:
- Human or humanoid Pokemon paired up with four-legged, feral-looking Pokemon. (ex: Arcanine x Gardevoir, boy or girl x Girafarig, two men x mareep, etc. I don't feel comfortable crossing those lines, sorry.)
- Birds and insects don't have boobs and cocks in real life as far as I know. so humanoid Pokemon like Golduck, Decidueye, Blaziken, Hawlucha, Scizors and the like won't have such appendages in NFSW pairings. There are other ways to make them look attractive though, so I will improvise if interested by your request.
This journal is going to stay open indefinitely, so don't be afraid about missing your opportunity to drop your request in the comments below ^^
**NOTE: This is a post for requests, not commissions. No one owns anyone anything here, so please don't nag at me or fill my mails asking about why I'm not drawing your request. If I like your idea, I will eventually draw it.**
Rules:
- Pokemon requests only.
- SFW and soft NSFW are fine.
- No anthro/furry x Pokemon pairs, please.
- You can post as many requests as you like.
- I reserve the right to accept or decline Pokemon requests that include my own characters.
- Don't send your requests via PM, please. Post your suggestions here, that's what this journal was made for.
Will not draw:
- Scat (excrements)

General | Posted 8 years agoA chat with my family yesterday got me thinking: is my art good enough to make commissions? What do you guys think?
Digital Art Question (GIMP software)
General | Posted 8 years agoIs it possible to alter the number of pixels by square inch after you've made some modifications on your paper? I know I can vary the pixels while creating a new sheet, but is the option there, somewhere, for me to do it at a later date in GIMP?
A good while later....

It's amazing the number of alerts that can pile up on my watch list within a few weeks. Shout overload aside, I am back, and while I may not have had as much time to brush up my skills as I had, I still experimented. And I have alot of ideas on my mind that I can't wait to put on paper.
So, see you soon folks, and keep an eye out, cuz I'm ready to rumble! *pumps fist*
IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK HOOOME!!

Story Recommendation 2 + Self-News
General | Posted 8 years agoMy search for good Greninja stories led me to discover this intriguing piece: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/125607.....r-Pok%C3%A9mon
The plot hit all my criterias: a mature & realistic setting, proper respect to attack damage, and no themes I am uncomfortable with. The writer is new, and the plot is still in its early stages, but the story deserves a good look nonetheless. It could go in several different directions and give us some good surprises along the way.
Also, you won't get updates or hear from me for a few weeks. I want to practice my drawing skills and try to break the writer's block that has been blurring my mind for the last two years. Hopefully I'll come back online a better person... and be able to write again.
Till next time guys! ^^

Story Recommendations, Anyone?
General | Posted 8 years agoI'm looking for some Pokemon fanfic recommendations, because I've found little to nibble on when searching for good stories on my side.
Everyone who knows me knows I'm a Greninja lover, so obviously the Pokemon stories I'm looking for must concern Ash-Greninja himself or other Greninjas--I'm not picky. It can be kilometer-long stories, one-shots, drabbles, even doujinshis or comics if they're in french or english.
My criterias are older audience adventure stories with good plots that feature a more realistic setting of the Pokemon world. No rape, self-insert or senseless porn, please.
So, what would you recommend me? Leave a link in a comment below if you have something to suggest! ^^

I think I'm gonna faint.
General | Posted 8 years agoI was breeding up a good Honedge for an eventual trade with my friend
TheUltimateAndi, and stayed up late last night to make some progress. At some point I went to fetch a drink while my newest egg hatched, and I came back ready to continue biking up Rivière Way---
--only spat water sideways to gape at the screen.
HOLY MOTHER OF ARCEUS I'D JUST HATCHED A SHINY HONEDGE!!
At 1:27 am. Without the Masuda Method. Or the Shiny Charm.
I don't get myself. How on earth am I doing this?? First Geodude, now Honedge... Really, this is ridiculous.
(Next thing I know, I'll be hatching a shiny Noibat while breeding some to get a good one for in-game battling. Ha.)
Gods, I'm stilling reeling from this 10 hours after it happened. It's making me dizzy. Has anyone ever felt like this upon hatching their first shiny?

What.
General | Posted 8 years agoI was denting the Floatzel population on Victory Road in Pokemon X to evolve my boxed Pokemon in order to fill my dex, and I ended up catching a female shiny Geodude out of nowhere.

HOLY ARCEUS DID THAT JUST REALLY HAPPEN??!
