Just a heads up - I likely will not be posting to Fur Affinity in the future unless something was commissioned specifically by someone with a presence here. I still don't plan on deleting anything already up here (although I must confess I'd been giving it a bit more consideration lately), but I've already got a couple new things up that won't be posted here (one's even an animation loop!).

I strongly encourage everyone reading this to at least try any/all of these other sites if you haven't yet, even if you're not leaving FA - hell, strictly speaking neither am I. Seriously, every single one is straight up better than here and is at least worth checking out.

Big thank you to those who commented on my last journal! As you can see I'm going with the scattergun approach (definitely gonna have to acquaint myself with PostyBirb). I'm kinda kicking myself for not checking out some of these places sooner!

If there's anywhere else you might want to see me, feel free to keep letting me know - the only reason something's not on the current list is that I haven't heard of anyone I know active on it yet, or I just haven't heard of it in the first place.

Again, I don't really expect to get banned, and as disappointed as I am in this whole fiasco I'm also not trying to make life worse for people who would prefer to still find me here so I don't plan to leave voluntarily either. Just best to get my ducks in a row in case the wrong mod comes across some old pic I might have up with a Gatomon or Impmon in it and decides the leg muscles aren't defined well enough or whatever.

. . .hell, speaking of digimon, for all I know RENAMON won't be allowed anymore. Huxian help me if that happens, I won't stand a chance!

So far I've been hearing SoFurry, Weasyl, Pixiv, and Inkbunny (in a cruel twist of irony, IB seems to be the frontrunner). I've already got a small gallery started on both SoFurry and Inkbunny, but if you're reading this and care at all about what I post I'd love to hear about anywhere else you might want to see me!

Just so we're clear, I don't intend to leave FA (I'll get to that below if you care to hear rant #93,486 about the pending policy update - if not feel free to stop at the break). In any case I probably shouldn't limit myself to a single site anyway, and now's as good a time as any to broaden my horizons.

How did they take something as simple as "don't post underage NSFW content" and fuck it up this badly?

Without doxing myself, even the technically acceptable 18 is literally less than half my age; I don't personally feel comfortable thinking about anyone that way unless they're 25+ and you can bet your ass that nothing I've posted depicts underage content, by any reasonable measure.

But this new policy is so poorly defined that I can't say for sure that everything in my gallery will hold up to the new criteria (whatever the hell THOSE are, I don't think the people making these rules even understand what they want). I absolutely refuse to validate the notion that anything I've posted could even remotely be interpreted as underage NSFW, so I will not be removing any pics, irrespective of the change. I know there's an outside chance that could get me banned, but after seeing how shamefully the feedback is being handled I'm not sure if I even care anymore.

I suppose I'd still prefer to keep using FA if possible, but already one of my closest friends has gotten confirmation that his very much adult avatar of his very much adult self (we live in the same damn house so I can confirm this) is somehow no longer acceptable. So. . .you know, whatever. Sucks to suck, but if worse comes to worst it's the community that matters, not the half-assed site we all happened to gravitate to some 15-20 years ago. There's too many other options out there to bother stressing about it.

Don't hold me to it, but it'll probably be up in an hour or so.

Edit - I guess that would be -4:00 for Daylight Savings Time (which should not exist, IMHO).

Hey everybody - still not dead yet, and actually I've been making headway on a little project of mine I'm hoping to post in a couple months. Not gonna say too much about it, but as of right now I've got a few fun animations completed.

In the meantime, though, it occurred to me that outside of one person who had expressed interest when I was on commission hiatus and one other after that, I never bothered to mention I'm taking commissions again. Probably not more than one at a time unless they're especially simple, but in any case if anyone's interested go ahead and note me. It's driving me nuts having been working on stuff for this long without anything to post (that reminds me - I think I forgot to post a sketch commission, so once I get back to my computer at home next week there'll be that at least).

Finally, thanks to everyone for watching and faving - I may not spam your shout boxes with it, but I really do appreciate it knowing other people enjoy the stuff I put up here.

Maybe in 15 minutes or so, I'll post another journal when I do.

First of all, thanks to all my latest watchers--not to mention all my other watchers who haven't stopped watching yet for lack of activity. HOPEFULLY I'm at a point now where I can start posting again on at least a semi-regular basis, like every few weeks or so. Instead of every few months.

Anyway, as long as my internet doesn't crap out like it tended to in the past, I think I'm gonna try a stream about 10pm EST (-5:00. Or -4:00 I guess, 'cause we like needlessly shifting our clocks around twice a year).

Just wanted to let everyone know I still haven't fallen off the face of the earth yet. And also to thank everyone who's watched me recently (which in this case is anyone within the past 2 or 3 months).

To be blunt, it's beginning to look like as long as I have a full-time job, I'm not gonna be able to keep up with the same volume of activity that I used to. I'm not leaving, by any means, and I'm still gonna try to be as active as I can. Just sayin', don't worry if I go for a couple months without any activity--I probably just had to work weekends for awhile.

On the plus side, this time work isn't the only reason I haven't been posting. I do have a couple of pics in the works, one of them finished even--I've just been holding back on posting them for March 28th (according to  yawg, this is International Renamon Appreciation Day. If you're not sure why a holiday made up by some other FA artist is relevant to me, I invite you to check out my gallery, and count the number of pics that have a renamon in them and compare that to the number of ones that don't. And also to go check out  yawg cuz there's a fair bit of renamons in his gallery too). Not to build up anyone's expectations or anything, but I will be posting something by then, at least.
