The skin does not make the man, the man makes the skin.
General | Posted 14 years agoI mean... it's true right? What we wear, what we do, how we make ourselves look to others... it doesn't make us who we are... who we are makes it. So I don't think i should be told what I should and should not wear or what I can and cannot do to my body! So what if I look a little more feminine than most guys? I AM a little more feminine than most guys! That's the whole reason I wear it! I'm tired of people taking one look at me and deciding that what I do is wrong and that what I wear is inappropriate. At least i can express myself rather than conform.

Ripples
General | Posted 14 years agoImagine a cool, still lake at night. The sky is clear, not a cloud in the sky, and the water is like a mirror, pristine and unbroken. Only the moon is reflected in its surface, not a single ripple in the water. Calmly, you take a pebble, the tiniest one you can find, and toss it right into the center of the reflection. Instantly the ripples splay out, racing to get to the edge of the lake and distorting the image of the moon. Isn't it odd how the smallest things, when thrown into our lives unexpectedly, can change everything about how we perceive things? Cest la vie.

At least we have each other
General | Posted 15 years agoYour eyes still shine
With purest light
In dazzling rings of gold,
But why this crimson
Red that stains
The hands I'm meant to hold?
Asleep my love?
No, dead my dove!
Alas how can it be?!
It seems that death
Parts us at last
To end love's melody.
Among the pool
Of red I find
The knife that did you in;
Defiled your
Perfection by
Committing such a sin!
And with a whisper,
My last words,
I raise it to my chest,
And plaster these poor
Putrid walls with
Blood from my own breast.
And once again,
In death's firm grasp,
We finally can meet;
Never more
To look on day,
Or stand upon our feet...
well...
At least we have each other...
With purest light
In dazzling rings of gold,
But why this crimson
Red that stains
The hands I'm meant to hold?
Asleep my love?
No, dead my dove!
Alas how can it be?!

Moonshine
General | Posted 15 years agoMoonlight dripping through the trees like honey, falls on the ground to form pools of light
Revealing mother nature's patchwork quilt on the ground
Timidly, he makes the light his friend, stepping into it until it shines across his skin, and soon, his eyes
A miniature moon, painted on the glossy surface of his dilated eye,
And awe is drawn on his face...
The moon, it makes his heart race, the light, it washes over him
Awakening what lies within, revealing the primal instincts and bringing them forth.
He wants to catch it, to chase it, to have the moon in his hands,
To dip his face in and drink of its glorious light...
And his instincts say to run.
They pull, they tug, he follows,
Chasing the moon as it flees his grasp
Through the forest, through the trees, on and on,
But alas... it dips behind the edifice before him, civilization hiding it from his grasp.
In anger and blindness he turns away from the houses with their lights that blaze uselessly into the night,
And the forest swallows him once more.
Back to the place that welcomes him,
Back where his instinct leads him:
Where the moon still shines for him.

Canvas

The snow a pristine canvas
As pure white as a saint
But oh what morbid beauty’s wrought
When blood becomes the paint
A crimson jewel, each droplet,
Leaving such an awful sight
Splattered red across the snow
And streaked across the white
The fight is not yet over
And the paint still falls around
Melting scarlet through the ice
And freezing on the ground
The fight is won, the victor stands
To look across the field
And staring out across the painting
Drops his sword and shield
In ruddy slush he drops there too
Letting tears flow free
Mourning all the loss of life
That never had to be
For when it comes to war
Truly nobody can win
There’s just too much we lose
When the sword precedes the pen
The snow a pristine canvas
As pure white as a saint
But oh what morbid beauty’s wrought
When blood becomes the paint
A crimson jewel, each droplet,
Leaving such an awful sight
Splattered red across the snow
And streaked across the white
The fight is not yet over

Midnight Melody
General | Posted 15 years agoMidnight Melody
Music sweeps over him in never ending waves
Soothing his soul with its soft liquid touch
Moonlight streaming down touches his face softly
And glistens off his eyes in sparkling diamond beauty
The glistening fades as he closes his eyes, leaving only hearing
The music draws him in
Pulling him onward
Asking him to follow
And slowly he does, his feet making hardly a sound in the snow
Reflecting its silky beauty into the sky
The trees echo the sound of the sweet melody
And quell his deepest anger and sorrow
Which ebbs as a tide would flow out to sea
Gently he sinks into the sound which overcomes him
The tremulous notes soaking into his very pores and enriching his happiness
The sound grows as he approaches the house
The diamond sparkle returns as he opens his eyes
And before him, on the balcony, his love awaits
Her eyes sparkling in tandem with his as she watches him from above
And the music fades, it's tune no longer needed for either to feel happy
For tonight they are together
In each other's arms and hearts
From which they will never departOne Heart
General | Posted 15 years agoOne Heart
Darkness paints the sky, broken by the moon
Snow falls, sparkling in the air
The cold wind turns it to the side
The flakes dance through the air before landing
Creating a pristine white canvas
The trees offer shelter from sight and wind
Two hearts beat in discordant rhythm
They pause in passing, each wondering at the other
Then leave, intending to forget
But the beat of the other’s heart echoes in their minds
They cannot ignore something tugging them closer
Night after night they meet in passing
Every night they leave with yet more reluctance
But neither dares say what they think cannot be true
Each night the longing grows in both
Until it is too much
Both let forth a flood of hidden emotion
Each speaking different words
But both saying the same thing
Until they finally fall into each other’s arms
The place their hearts had always told them they belonged
The snow turns to grass and grass to flowers
Winter to spring and spring to summer
The night comes again
Hiding all in its black, silky shade
Two hearts meet once more, as they had in the snow
But now, instead of discord, they beat in harmony
Lingering there, in each other’s arms
Enjoying the company of one another
Calm spreads across the forest
Every creature respecting the need for solitude
Of these two bodies
Two beings
Two souls
One heart(view the original here: http://roleplaymotion.forumotion.ne.....t34-one-heart)
(I was able to make it look more awesome in that post than this one!)
Quotes
General | Posted 15 years agoHey all my buddies out there (or rather buddy, I really don't have many friends on here yet lol). In the current absence of artwork on my poor, neglected little page, I'm going to be posting notes instead! Mostly it'll be poetry, but later I'll hopefully be able to post a finished chapter or two of a story I'm starting to write! Anyways, this particular journal is going to hold all of my random babbling and quotes and I'll update it as I come up with more so keep watching!
*quick note: unless labeled otherwise, all quotes are created by yours truly. :3 *
