Restarting the gallery
General | Posted 3 years agoWith Twitter going down in flames, and FA being fixed into a mostly-useable website while attempts to create a better FA have faded into spectral nonexistence, I'm back.
Got around to actually drawing stuff again, and found the courage to start posting it.

Conventions 2018
General | Posted 7 years agoWill be doing Finfur Animus (though I didn't get a tickeeet) and Eurofurence. Promises translate into promises.
I draw myself smoking, so I don't have to.

See you at Eurofurence! Also hosting a workshop
General | Posted 9 years agoArriving in Berlin at the moment. See you at Estrel Hotel, Eurofurence 22!
I'll also be hosting an introduction workshop on electronics for fursuits and props, choosing parts and hooking things up safely, for beginners. Saturday 16:00-17:00, space TBA.

Looking for EF room / trade triple for double!
General | Posted 9 years agoLooking to get accommodation for a dear friend of ours, at the convention hotel for Eurofurence! If you've got an extra spot in your room, we are interested in buying it. Or if your friend in a three person room cannot join you for EF, we can trade your triple for a double, please contact and let's negotiate a price.
The person doesn't need to stay in your room, they're a fursuiter and we can house their suit stuff or the whole person in ours during the convention, if housing unknown people is an issue for you.
Best regards, Sakke

Moving out
General | Posted 11 years agoI'll be likely moving fully into Weasyl at some point. Not sure if there's a point in letting this old gallery stay up here, or if anyone's interested in it in any manner.
Will probably keep this one as a watcher account, but I'd really like to support something else. Not that it accounts to much I guess, if I'm not selling profitable ychpron commissions.
If I do wipe it, I'll probably upload some select stuff into my weasyl. 60/40 split.

General | Posted 12 years agoI just don't have anything to post here. I don't really have anything to offer in comments either.
Perhaps I'll get things back on track here or on Weasyl.

Occasionally thinking about wiping the slate
General | Posted 13 years agoI sometimes think I'd want to clear the gallery, or put some more fresh works in. There has been few new creations from me on the furry side of things, but then again, some people have commented and faved on some of the things I've uploaded so it would be fair to leave them in here.
Same thing with the journals. I might not fully agree any longer on the things I wrote and drew earlier, but perhaps it's best to just leave things as they were and manage effort into new creations instead of managing the old.
Would a new account name for a "fresh start" be better, while leaving what was here as it was? Not that it's anything I'm planning on doing in the near future, or that there would be much left to be seen here.

Back from EF (Eurofurence 18)
General | Posted 13 years agoWhat a heady two weeks it has been. Yes, two weeks, extended edition - going the long route there and back again helps one to a smooth takeoff and a gentle landing, or at least that's how I feel.
The first day on site had a bit of slow start with the hangover queue for registration and rooms, but after that it was plain unreal. I remember walking in the lobby for the first night just looking at things between my fingers to discern if they were real or not.
Met a couple old contacts, made a few more - I didn't frequent the artists lounge as much as I should have. I found myself pushing sketches for people, but most of the time they were happy to pour beer in return :>
Lovely trip, excellent country for conventions - I'm hoping to go back there sometime in the future. Maybe next EF.

5k pageview free piece
General | Posted 16 years agoYus. As it says, get the 5000th pageview (or the closest to it) and there will be a toll free picture in it for you. Will wait a few days afterwards to see who got closest and will win a spankin new picture.
Opening commissions
General | Posted 17 years agoSince I'm in a bit of a pinch and every little bit helps, I've decided to open commissions. I haven't been publishing much of my work lately, though, but my earlier work could be used as a reference. This would work into:
-10e for a pencil sketch
-15e for an inked and cleaned drawing
-more for a coloured drawing, depending on detail.
If you want the original, you can have it for the price of packaging and postage. I use lightweight paper for preliminary sketches and 180gsm for the final pieces. A4 unless agreed on other sizes. I sketch in mech pencils, ink with a brush and do colours with soluble pencils.
Approaching should be done by private note. Tell me what you want and I'll tell you if I'm up to it.

Ahhahaha! ...Oh, wow!
General | Posted 17 years agoThe search function. It's back.
Here's to a number of silly people, with souls thinner than their credit cards, who had the gall to complain endlessly about the lack of search functionality. I doubt many of these whiny individuals were contributors in the first place, nor will too many begin pouring in donations now that it's there. There will be a wonderful array of excuses, of course - it's done with a rewrite of the database so it doesn't count, it's done with blah blah and doesn't count, it's not as nice as I had wanted it to be and the colour is WRONG. You just can't please some people.
Anyway, the biggest furry-themed online gallery there is just became a lot more accessible. Thanks for piecing it together, FA people.
As I'm not pouring money into the machine, I'm not complaining about schedules, merely freeloadin'. ROI can't get much better than that, hmm?

Realization strikes
General | Posted 18 years agoDamn.
I haven't really drawn anything outside of simple sketches - and diagrams - for the last 9 months. I need to get that out of my system and I hope to get something done before the first snow.
Oh, and I've finished moving into my new flat. The sense of distance is clearly there even if I've moved just a few klicks from the familiar places. It's taken a while but I feel like I'm finally settling down and finding my place here.
Sakky out.

Miss you!
General | Posted 18 years agoYou know who you are. (this line might carry a lot of more meaning that it implies at first.)
Feeling like having your own time is all right by me, and thus I don't really want to push anything. Especially in such a situation when you get just a few days of leave at a time.
Hoping to meet up with you the next time you can manage such a leave, even if it's just for a few hours. :>

Nervous!
General | Posted 18 years ago...Ah, a lot of things are cooking right now. First of all, the summer leave is starting in a matter of weeks now. I've got myself a job for the summer, and I sure am glad to have the chance to earn some money. Planning on upgrading my hardware - I've been stuck with this laptop for a good while. Even if it has its ups now and then, it's no good for proper work or modern games.
So - being steadily working on a few pet projects, I rarely find the time to draw. Or the inspiration for that matter. I guess I would need some time off the computer and everything to get that drive back into high revs. The summer should be a good time to get a bit of "reset" done in my head as well. I'll probably have more time to get around with other people as well, becoming more sociable and such. I'm setting goals for the coming summer now to become a better person.
In other news, the flat I'm currently staying in isn't available in the autumn anymore, and I need to find myself a new place to stay. Close to the studies would be nice, perhaps a big further than currently to help me stay more focused at things. When you turn an hour's bus trip into a five minute rapid walk, the feeling of traveling suddenly disappears, and along it the sense of location. I'm now practically living at the place instead of just visiting there.
Oh, and shirts! I've got a few screens (yus, the printing type) and I'm planning on doing shirts with them. Not going for posters yet, since I'd need several large screens for proper posterworking. Shirts, on the other hand.. Two colours are a lot on a shirtprint unless you compare it to a full colour print job. And that is not going to be too permanent unless it's expensive - I don't fancy T-shirts that cost as much as a good pair of shoes.
Drifting from one subject to another is a sign of nervousness, yes.

Not sure if that was exactly the right wording, it's been quite a while since I read that Tank Girl episode in english.
