So, apparently my ISP can take up to 2 weeks before they have my internet moved to my new place. How anything so seemingly simple can take such an excruciating long time in the 21st century baffles me, but those are the breaks.

Today I went to pick up the keys for a spanktastic new appartment that I found by chance. It's roomy, it's nice, it's bright and it's just delicious.

I'm moving.

Finally, after almost 3 years of waiting, my house is sold, and I can finally move out on my own, and finalize the divorce. It's an amicable divorce, probably the most amicable ever heard of. But still nice to get over with, of course.

The buyers of the house will have access to parts of the house already from this Friday, the 8th. That was one of the terms, and that's fine, really. They will completely take over the house by August 1st, at which time we will have to have vacated entirely. From that day on, the house no longer belongs to us.

And so far, I have still not found a new place to move.

My funds are very limited, but my needs are great. I own a lot of things, none of which I can easily part with. I also have a cat, and for reasons that baffle me, virtually noone will rent an appartment and allow you to keep a pet there. The last place I called, just a few minutes ago now, said "Oh, no, we don't allow pets. We had a very bad experience with that years ago, we thought we'd NEVER get the STINK out." - Stink??! What happened, did someone let a cat into the wall and let it DIE there??!

*sigh*

This is the lion's version of panic. Sitting here, right now, I don't know what to do. There's one place I'd like to get. Nice and big, three rooms, 1st floor, close to work, and they allow me to bring my cat. But it's about 1000 kr. (approx. $180 US) more per month than I can afford, even if I cut away on other expenses and stop eating entirely.

That's it. Vent over. I don't expect helpful advice, because honestly - what advice could I get? "Just keep looking"?

Oh yeah, and to top it off, the company I work for are firing people left and right, because they're crashing and burning. If I'm lucky, I'll still have a job in a year, but there's no telling... So I also should be looking around for a new place of employment, and obviously I can't take ANYTHING that doesn't pay at least what I get paid now.

For. But it depends on the situation. Abortion is not a substitute for birth control. But accidents do happen. Condoms burst, pills fail. And there's the matter of rape, of course. Generally speaking, I'm for it, at least if it's before the foetus is 24 weeks developed. Until that time, there's no indication that it's anything more than a lump of flesh, without even the most rudimentary sensory aparatus.

I really don't see how. Some things might be handled differently, but that's it.

My little girl is gone. My 13 year old cat, Felis, passed away tonight, after just a few days of illness.. By the best we and the vet could tell, she suffered from kidney malfunction; her kidneys simply shriveled away, until almost nothing was left, and only then did any symtoms start to show..

She passed not one hour ago as I'm writing this.. She was - is - my little girl. I will keep her with me for all time..
