Can someone forward this to Collective Shout
General | Posted 5 months agohello, as displeased as i may be, i at least want to somewhat level with you and try and keep this polite, while i'm sure you have some points your going too far with your whole thing currently, now, don't get my words twisted, the steam thing regarding those rape or incest or child abuse or the games that primarily are around that i agree with you on that, those games shouldn't exist, however you should also consider, itch.io is there as the i guess not-so-safe for work version of Steam, it should have every well been left alone, and i want you to consider, yes it isn't as ethical as a normal job,
take nsfw artist/content creators, they work from sites that allow it, where they can legally do it, and you have no idea who you could be affecting, for all you know it might be a women or a single mother with a child trying to get by however they can, going after the payment processors really screws people like that up financially, now i don't support rape/incest/child abuse by any means i wanna make this clear, but most nsfw artists/content creators don't even make that stuff and could have family's of their own,
the Twitter thing could also effect people like this, i've checked a good number and most of them have a clear 18+ only allowed thing going on, and isn't where they mostly do stuff from, please, i just want you to think, and truely consider this, not every way tomakea living is ethical, i saw a tweet on twitter of something being labelled as 'onlyfans' and linking 'rape' into it? i don't go on onlyfans but from glances i have seen that statement is a blatant lie,
now i don't condone what most of the gaming community have said about you or Collective Shout as a whole, and this is coming from a gamer myself, but mass censorship isn't the way and overall just destroys peoples lives who for the most part are just trying to make a living, please just leave the payment processors out of this, and please don't spread misinformation,
the saying 'fuck around and find out' is way too accurate then what you might think, and with how much you are, with lack of better words, 'pissing people off more then Donald Trump' i would really suggest you back off a good chunk for the safety of your team and yourself, i don't care about those NSFW steam games i don't play those, i don't play the Itch.io ones either but sometimes that's how some poeple can more legally make a living that can't do so the conventional way,
you don't need mass censoring or who things being deleted from simply something you dislike, if it actually depicts abuse to women and children, rape or those things those are perfectly reasonable, but most games aren't that, and it would be safer for you and those associated with you if you left the majority alone, a simple fix would be to inforce more parental mindness and a clear way to test age like a trivia question only an 18 year old could do or something like that,
i am saying this because i don't want things to potentially get..... well, 'messy and out of hand' to put it lightly, i hope this message finds you well and i hope you can at least see my reason for this and consider this in the long run, you don't have to like something but don't rip out the livelyhood or financial cord to people who can't get money in more traditional ways, i hope i managed to be polite during this.

am i the only one who thinks permavore is too much?
General | Posted 6 months agolike...... if it's a side character i can kinda understand but a main OC? i can't be the only one who thinks it's too much right? like does anyone else thing there should be more rules to permavore? like if an artist perma's a main OC they HAVE to give the rights to the character to someone else? because they aren't using the character anymore what's stopping anyone from outright just claiming them? it's not like the artist plans to use them may as well give the rights officially to someone else or make it a public character, i've seen too many good artists either lose the OC that is their main persona/pfp or lose accounts or a community beloved OC's to permavore, technically they did consent to it but i still think it's stupid that the character won't be seen ever again, to anyone who sees/reads this, what is your thoughts?
