I might get an evacuation order... if it happens overnight we'll only be able to take the cats and a couple bags of stuff because my male has a work truck (like 28' stake-bed) full of wrapped pallets of flooring and stuff... if this house went up we would be completely screwed... no renter insurance and everything we have is here.
If it were to happen tomorrow during the day while he's at work I'd be... well, stranded here.

People in states with scary weather things (tornados and hurricanes, etc) say things like "I'd never live in Southern California, all those earthquakes!", it isn't the quakes you have to worry about, it's all the stupid fires we have.

They were going to check into like 5 of the 9 fires in the county because they suspected arson.
And of course there are assholes who go into people's houses and businesses when they've been evacuated and they loot and shit, which is a felony, but people rarely get caught for that stuff.

Why are people, largely, assholes?

I'm pretty scared/stressed.
