The situation is… I crashed my car.
First things first – everyone is safe, thankfully. Unfortunately, the accident was completely my fault. I was driving home with my kids after a regular shopping trip, navigating a narrow, spiral exit ramp in a parking garage. As usual, the kids were full of energy, and at one point, I noticed the back window opening. In all the chaos they were creating I quickly glanced back to check if everyone is okay - just a split second - and ended up taking the turn too sharply, scraping the entire side of the car against the wall. No one else is to blame here... It was just a really rough moment on a really rough day.

You may also ask why I do not have enough savings to pay that immediately? Well...
This year was not the best for me from the start. My Dad passed in January (he was 59) and besides all the personal impact it had on me and my family (obviously) - since then I am financially helping my Mom to help the end meets and I am not having much of a savings to pay so much at once for an unexpected car repair.
