So, how do I start this? Well, as you all can see, this is my first journal post. And the reason I'm writing this is a bit of a bummer really. I seemed to have somehow grabbed a file deleting virus while downloading MP3s, that got rid of my Windows boot.ini file along with other various files. Now, this being said, I couldn't get back into Windows to try and save things. No biggie, I can just reload another HD with XP and be on my way

Right?

NOPE! I got to thinking about it and thought that if I connected to the infected HD, it would put me right back to square one.

But, I got to thinking about trying a Linux program called Ubuntu that I heard someone mention someplace. ell, I tried it out, but sadly, I burned it at too fast a speed and I can run off the Live CD, but can't load it to the hard drive. But, while in my time of trying to load it to the HD, I somehow got rid of the NTFS file system which got rid of about 10-12 years of pictures I have grabbed of furry art, plus about 3000+ MP3s. Damnit.

So, looks like I just lost THOUSANDS of pictures from over the years that I will never to be able to locate ever again.
