Felt like journaling about old cons. These are the first 3 I've been to, next 3 will happen at some point idk :p


Alamo City Furry Invasion 2023
My first furry convention! Went on a 6 hour road trip with friends. Came with a bunch of local friends at the time, who were road tripping from the same place I was, made a bunch of new ones at the con. Was great having company wherever I went. I ended up rooming at an overflow hotel with strangers at the time, who became good friends. One of my roomies convinced me to get Applebees with him, which I was thankful for because the quesadilla salad I got left me enough leftovers for breakfast and dinner. They give me a huge portion haha

Friday was a blur of doing my first furry con stuff. I remember seeing a fullsuit of King from The Owl House that made my day. Saturday was the eclipse. We got ACFI-branded eclipse glasses! For dinner, I got invited to go out with my roomies’ friends to go to Margaritaville. Two people in our group were suiting and it was delightful to see people’s reactions at the mall. The food at Margaritaville itself was…eh lol. We got shareables to save money, which helped for sure, but I can’t say I liked the chicken or chips and queso much. The fries by themselves and with the queso were good though. I was able to take some queso fries home.

When we got back to the con, it was room hopping and raving time~ I took an edible at some point and when I settled in my room for the night, I got the munchies big time and demolished those queso fries lol. Sunday was chilling and people/suit-watching until it was time to help my friends I was riding back with get ready. The trip back went by fast and felt much less than 6, somehow.


Texas Furry Fiesta 2024
While TFF may not be my thing anymore, this TFF still holds up as an amazing experience and my favorite con. Was my first time suiting, got in the main hotel this time, and I took the train through Dallas to get to the con. Another blur of a Friday, but I think it was mostly roaming the con to meet up with friends and taking in how huge this con was. I went with one friend to a Mexican restaurant when no one else was available lol. That night I ended up having my first “intimate” con experience with a another good friend of mine :3

Saturday, went with a friend group to go to an Irish pub. I’m glad I decided not to suit there because it ended up raining lmao. At least my tail stayed dry. Shenanigans with that group for a while, chilling at one of their rooms, then heading back down to Carmine’s for dinner. Went to that one close friend's room again, headed down to the rave after a few hours of that. The rave is my favorite part of TFF, the energy is unmatched. Was there from midnight until whenever it ended, spent probably an extra hour hanging with our friends and I made a couple more new ones while at it. I was probably up past 4. I had passed out on the bathroom floor when I got to the room lmfao

On Sunday I took the skybridge to the mall to get breakfast. Felt bummed about having to go home soon, but chilling out in a quiet mall helped me feel better. I met up with a friend for the dance comp. We made stickers to trade while we were in that line. Me and my roommates took a picture of our heads together, then took the train through Dallas for the last time.


Texas Furry Siesta 2024
I don’t have too much to share from TFS since it was a short trip and I was feeling out of it that con (personal things unrelated to the con). I went because it was on my birthday weekend and I thought it’d be a fun way to celebrate. My roommate got a suite, so that was pretty cool staying in a con suite for the first time. At one of the food trucks I got a chicken and egg sandwich with mac n cheese in it. It was really good, but I think it was the reason I didn’t feel good when I got home the next day…Suited around with friends, one of them was passing out real dog treats, and even left behind a can of real dog wet food. I wonder if anyone took it?

I cohosted a suite party with my roommate, which was partly my birthday party. We ordered some Thai food before the night fell. Met a lot of cool furs that night. Was kinda funny having over 20 people singing me happy birthday at the stroke of midnight. The party definitely helped me take my mind off things. While TFS wasn't a bad time and it's cool I can say I was at a furcon for my birthday, there wasn't much to do overall so I probably not going to go again.
