howdy, i'm hom, your local shark cow (not cow shark). i'm an artist, art historian, and enjoyer of the NatM films. based in ATL.
i will do an artistic analysis on your work for a paltry sum. i will find narrative themes and parallels in your vore comics. this is a threat.

HungryOnMain's Consumption Index! (G)

IRL, I'm an art historian and essayist, and I mostly do contemporary studies! A lot of media analysis (ask me about redhead tropes!) and a lot of theory. In my studies of folklore and tropes, I noticed a lot of themes regarding edibility in stories, some of them older than entire civilizations. People and sentient creatures get eaten in creation myths, fairy tales, folk stories, legends, plays, orchestral arrangements...
So, what's an academic to do?
CATEGORIZE THEM!
Introducing HOM's Consumption Index! A sorting index inspired by the Aarne-Thompson-Uther tale-type index and the Motif-Index of Folk-Literature! Those lists are indexes for motifs in folklore, like the "theft of fire", numbered A1415! Stories like that involve Prometheus, Maui, and Nanabozho!
Where does the classic "eaten by a talking wolf" fall? Well, that's 231!
Or maybe "served in a meat pie to one's parents"? 151 is the one! And very concerning that I found so many!
Vorny plants? 51-60!
Jonah and the Whale? 201!
Giants? Either 82 or 83, depending on if they're "fee-fi-fo-fum"s or oni/cyclopses!
How about "hero eaten by monster"? ...OK, that one's a more complicated question. What monster exactly? Is the hero fantastical? (4) Is the monster a god? (32) A witch? (91) The Monkey King? (250) You gotta be specific!
Take a look at these folk tales, fairy tales, myths, legends, and a few outliers! And feel free to e-mail me if you know one that hasn't been listed!
