Being a sentimental old softie, I thought I'd wish all my readers, even the ugly ones, a Merry Yule and a Happy New Year. If you associate the midwinter solstice with religious rites, I'm fine with that. All, some, one or no gods, I don't care. AS long as y'all keep the "malice to none", and "goodwill to all" bits.
Look around you, cosmonauts. We really, REALLY need a season of goodwill 'round here. However justified you believe your rage and hate are, how about you let go of it for a week or so, and be of good cheer? It will do you and your immediate circle a world of good. Aahh, feel those knots in your neck soften?
And fear not, your hatreds will be waiting for you, burning hot as ever, after you doff the Santa hat.
But in the meanwhile, isn't this a nice break? Merriment is good for the soul as well as the body.
