The weather where I'm at always gives us one or two false springs before warming up properly. Unfortunately I don't have a more poetic metaphor or parallel in my life to make with that, all I can say is that I'm cold and I should have finished the yard work I wanted to do when I had the chance. Oh well!

Things have been pretty stagnant for me art-wise. I've been doodling a bit here and there. I helped my DM with an animation he's working on for our current star-wars campaign by inking some frames. I've taken some cool photos. But other than that I've really been in a slump artistically for months now! I imagine it's been a multitude of factors influencing this, from stress to wanting more out of my art to just not having the energy to sit and draw. But whatever the reasons, art's just not been clicking for me for a while. I'm trying to not put too much pressure on myself to pick up the ol' tablet again, since that usually makes things worse, but I have been trying to make an effort to doodle and just mess around with drawing to at least try to shake some of the rust off.

Right about now though most of my attention is on the little day-to-day things to keep myself treading water while we all continue to live through "historic events." I have a friend's wedding and friends coming out of town to visit soon that I'm prepping for, I started playing Morrowind, I beat the ender dragon for the first time with a friend's help, I'm pet sitting a friend's snake, and all the other little things day to day that keep you from letting the despair get the best of you for too long.
