Crystal Contact Sword Staff and Cutlass Construction (G)
I'm a Donatello Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fan myself but when I saw a video of a contact sword, I was hooked.
Contact Sword: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFnFvkKWjAo
I looked to buy one but the prices were off the charts. If I couldn't buy one, I'll make one. I did my research on the length, width and weight of all contact swords i could find online. (I also ran into a Contact Cutlass but that's for later.) The top was either a one pound acrylic or rubber ball at the end of it. Then it snapped, instead of either of the two, I'll make mine with a one pound crystal ball.
Construction Progression
~I found a one pound 71mm quartz crystal ball, I'm ganna order it.~
~I just received my 71mm quartz crystal ball in the mail and ready to make my new Crystal Ball Staff. (Contact Sword or Flowcane/Flowsaber. Either or, I know I'll be happy with the outcome.)~
~You know what? I'm gonna turn my old crystal ball staff into a contact cutlass.

~The 71mm crystal ball staff is practically done.
I just have to adjust the center of balance and make a removable feather charm.~
~Construction of the contact cutlass has also begun!~
~Looks like the contact swords center of balance is wrong. I'm off about 4 inches from the base. I may need to cut off some of the base to add more metal bearings for counterweight and add more leather strap on the handle grip.~
~The contact cutlass is ahead of schedule. Being smaller in length then the contact sword, it's much easier to adjust the center of balance.~
~Aw, I might just need to add half an inch of leather strap to the handle grip of the contact sword and lower the center of balance half an inch from the crystal instead of cutting it.~
~My 71mm quartz crystal ball contact sword staff is now balanced.
(I've really been putting off making the removable bell & feather charm for it.)~
~Concepts for my two feather charms are now being drawn. Also, I need to start balancing my cutlass. (I might just end up work on the balancing first.)~
~Just bought some assorted sized jingle bells to make the Feather Charms.~

I wouldn't be surprised if Disney artist used it as reference.
