Sly 4 is awesome not just because of Sly himself: bu also because of his ancestors.
You don't need an elaborate explanation how his ancestors would take him being in their time. You just need solid character interaction. And the way Sly interacts with his ancestors is the highlight of the game.

But it's not just how Sly's ancestors interact with Sly. It's also how they interact with the other characters: namely Carmelita Fox's interactions with some of them. Among the most amusing is with Tennessee Kid Cooper; who currently shares the status of perhaps Sly's most popular ancestor thanks to his accent and charisma. (Beating out Rioichi wasn't easy: but it is now since we found out Rioichi's kind of a stiff. XD)

But I did wonder: If Cooper's ancestors had no problem with hitting on women from the future; how would they react to other females? Namely how would they interact with Carmelita's partners? (AKA my OCs) Her partners being Mai Ling the cat, Mindy Gardoe the mouse and Sarah Brendhart the dog. I took three of his ancestors to interact with them. But let's start with Carmelita first and work our way down.

First and foremost is of course Tennessee Kid Cooper hitting on Ms. Fox; which got this whole pic rolling. He wasn't even hitting on her initially; he was just being himself around a lady. And this set off Ms. Fox going for him: though this was namely getting back at Sly for lying to her. To seal the deal it appears Tennessee Kid Cooper is o her a 'Desert Rose.' Naturally Carmelita is taken by it; if not jut slightly bemused and chuckling at the gesture. It is however enough to make Sly (in the background) look on with an annoying grimace. He's like "Really Carmelita?" or "you gotta be kidding me!" I like how Tennessee is winking at her too. Seriously IRL he doesn't need all this. Being himself is enough to win the ladies over. It's certainly what won him the most fan girls. XD
BTW: Carmelita is in her traditional outfit simply because that's how she is in my series. I keep her original outfit. Don't get me wrong the new one's hot. I just feel more at home with her old one.

Next we have Rioichi introducing Mai Ling to his infamous sushi. You know since he "invented" it; I imagine it probably tastes REALLY good. Who is Mai to pass u pa good hearty meal without any preservatives thrown in it? (Just good ol' fashioned culinary craftsmanship.) You know as serious as Rioichi was in the game; I bet if he wanted to he could hit it off with the ladies too. (When you're a ninja it comes naturally. XD) To try and win Mai Ling he is offering her a rather special piece of sushi. The meat on top of it is cut in the shape of a heart. (AWWW. X) Mai isn't sure what to make of it at first. I think Rioichi's 'Splinter-like' seriousness threw her off guard. She really didn't expect to be offered such a token of his possible affections towards her. XD I am wondering how she takes this token.

One that is very obvious is Mindy reacting to the ever gallant gesture of Sir Galleth Cooper. In true knightly fashion he kneels before the lady and kisses her hand. What a gentleman. XD Be still Mindy's heart. Literally; her hand's over her chest and she looks pretty touched if not flattered by this token of respect/affection. I like Sir Galleth's personality too. He also hit on Ms. Fox; but his ego is hilarious awesome. XD Being the knight he is he sure likes to be full of himself and believe himself to be THAT great. (Even when he was merely a clown in the level. XD) Also: what lady can resist that awesome beard? XD Facial hair over fur. You know you're awesome when you can grow beard on your fur. XD And I think Mindy's pretty impressed with it too. XD

Lastly is a Cooper who I think tries charm the very VERY old fashioned way. "Bob" Cooper the cave raccoon tries his moves on Sarah. This is down by simply picking her up in his arms and holding her close to his chest. (Christ...the "rape face" comments I'm gonna get. XD) Sarah doesn't seem too afraid: but nevertheless she is clearly nervous. Just keep smiling girl. XD (Or...maybe not. XD) Bob's really a nice guy: for a cave Cooper. XD I think he deserves more love. I think he and Salim get a bad rap for being chosen as the Cooper ancestors you interact with rather than other ones fans wanted to see: namely Henriette One Eye Cooper. (Oh well: there MAY be future games. ;D) But I ultimately liked Bob. And hopefully Sarah just sees him as being a gentleman in how "own way"; and from his own time. XD At least he didn't bonk her over the head with a club and drag her to his cave. XD
