I love the ear-hole design for Cinder's hoodie. That's a neat, uh, "furgonomic" touch, as it were.

Save that it leaves one's ears exposed to the elements.

I dunno 'bout you, but I hate having my ears get cold as a *human*.

Well, his ears are covered with fur, so they're more protected from the cold. Also, I bet having his ears smooshed down against his head beneath that hoodie would totally mess up his hearing, is the main thing.

There are always tradeoffs.

Every tie you moved your ears the hood would be in the way and could also fall off your head when you rotated your ears back to hear behind you.

On the other paw, the hood is rendered pointless because rain would inter the hood from the top and defeat the point of wearing a hood.

thank you, I was looking through the comments to see if anyone had pointed it out. yes, panel 4 ist he only one with the ring.

That's because I'm an imbecile and it's supposed to be worn on the left hand (and I reasoned that the only panel that his left hand is showing in was panel 4, so that was the only panel I drew it in)... and somehow neglected to actually DRAW it on the left hand O_O I blame the fact I horizontally flip stuff a lot and end up reversing things by accident that way.

ah! it makes sense now. X3 I just pay lots of close attention to your work because it's so gorgeous and deserves every little bit of attention. it's so ... gawsh~

Already been thinking about how to make it. :3 Having a little trouble with the hood. Hoods need seams to make them round like that, and his doesn't APPEAR to have any. I've come to the conclusion that the seams are under the two stripes (which are a separate material sewn on), meaning the black strip down the middle is actually a rectangular piece of fabric. That makes things very simple. ^^

haha yes. that's how you get that shape of hood, with that rectangle shape. it's actually a great design. :3

1.) really nice lighting and surface treatments (thought the interior scenes seem a little washed)< and two Everyone is so pissed off looking in the previous frames.

I'd like to be wrong and for there to be some odd plot twist, but furry comics tend to be very predictable.

Really enjoying the comic so far! But if you don't mind me critiquing a little (it's very minor), but the hierarchy in the first frame is a little confusing! The fox cameo is taking a lot of the attention away from Frost with how much of the frame he's taking up and how much focus is on him, even though Frost (I assume) is supposed to be the center of attention.

Like I said, it's very minor, but may be something to consider in the future! Perhaps doing depth of feel blurring on characters in the foreground so they aren't so eyegrabbing? I don't know. Just an observation!

I agree with your critique, and yeah Frost is definitely secondary to the foreground characters in that panel. Unfortunately I feel like blurring them out would be a disservice to those who purchased cameos in the first place and helped support the comic. Since that panel is an establishing shot it's only real purpose is to say 'hey, look. We've changed scenes from the previous page and now they're in school by some lockers.' So I figured Frost not being entirely central in the composition might be forgivable, but you are correct about the focus. Thanks for the critique! :)

Not trying to sound mean either but I had thought the same thing about the fox but didn't want to say anything because I didn't feel it was my place to. However in my own opinion I believe the focus is fine, I think its more that the fox has that suspicious look that draws the viewer towards him thinking "Hmm, what's this guy done?" If he had had more of a expressionless 'walking down the hallway' look I don't think my eye would have been drawn to him as much.

I really hope you take no offense to me giving my own opinion, it's just a passion I have to give critique to good artists.
