BF_Kidnapped Debbye (WiP)
Debbye Squirrel, one of the co-stars of Sabrina Online: The Story by Chris Foxx and available at www.chrisfoxx.com, as she may appear later in
cateagle's story From the Wings.
Debbye's father is the chief of police. It only stands to reason one of his daughters is "bound" to get kidnapped eventually. Right? Here she is after having been caught trying to escape.
As a lover of both tied up kidnapped girls and 1930's gangster movies, I kind of like the "overcast" effect Photoshop did to this after I played with the Levels tool to clean it up before finishing this for posting. Gives it a kind of a gritty feel, to me, it does.
A work in progress.
Pencils on sketchbook paper.

For the record, the old farmhouse she's being held at isn't that run down and the furniture is in better shape. More importantly, at the time of the story, that window still has glass in it. It will be boarded up after her rescue as Lee uses a glass cutter to quietly remove the pane (using already attached suction cups to hold it, he's not stupid enough to try and hold it with his paws). He effects a quiet and surreptitious entry and the bad guys don't even know he's been there 'til after he's gone with Debbye. his natural desire to "give 'em hell" being tempered by his desire to get Debbye to safety. Willie Jeffers and his fellow goons likely won't appreciate that, though.
Oh, I liked it - just some of the details were a little off from the bits I have written. Since I've not shared those, that's not surprising. His quietly removing the window for entry is the key to Lee's swift and quiet rescue of Debbye, so that's an important item; the rest doesn't matter so much as it's a farmhouse that's not been used in a while.
Oh, and for those who are curious about the plot, I've been working on it for several years, but it has some distinct resonances with David Weber's short story, Beauty and the Beast in the latest Honor Harrington story collection, Beginnings, now out from Baen. I can't speak for Mr. Weber, but part of my inspiration also goes back to a scene E.E. "Doc" Smith wrote in First Lensman.
