I think one of the best things about this is the unmentioned implication. Sylveons only happen if an eevee absolutely ADORES their trainer (and levels up with a fairy move), so what can be presumed here is that she made the unfortunate fox think she cared about it... Then just turned it into a dragonsnack. x3 Most likely why the sylveon didn't fight back at all.
So let me guess the sylveon could be reborn as a Goomy and get extra love with a moment of happy Tears where it realises Wait i wasn't just a snack my trainer was giving me a Glorius new body and chance for a Stronger body !" just think lvl 100 get eaten Stats Stay Maxed out to make one hell of a LvL 1 Goomy
I know this is old and all. but...Eevees are cats. The proof is in it's evos.

In fact the majority of Eevee's evos are based on asian cat legends.
