There's actually a pretty sizable moth and bug community on tumblr! But people are generally misinformed about moths. If you like giant silk moths, I'm actually raising a trio to eclose in the spring. :)

I LOVE.... POLYPHEMUS MOTHS..... they're very cute, omg.... one summer I had one on my screen door i was sooooo excited omg....
I took pictures but I lost them on my old camera unfortunately... :'(
Raising a trio of them sounds really exciting, I've always wanted to try raising some lunas but I have quite a few cats that i would worry about breaking into my room and uh.... playing with the babies too much.... u__ u

Yeah, I've noticed some of the big names are pretty quiet right now. My side blog is pretty heavy on moths.

Polyphemus are lovely but I've never seen a live one. I'm raising two Cecropias and a Luna. Cats would present a problem, yeah. :/

Cecropias have such a rich and lovely colour oh my gosh I don't think I've seen one irl though?? unfortunately there aren't a lot of moths around here and the butterfly gardens are lacking, when i do manage to find one to go to... I want to start a moth garden i think that would be super incredible and like.... really exciting oh my gosh..... my heart is beating fast just thinking about it...... (///m///)
