I don't know... :( Hoard encounters are a really good way to go, especially with the shiny tag. The day after these 3 I got a shiny Nidoran male and a Stunky.
Then just RE in the Friend Safari is another good way to get shinys. I've gotten Eevee, Shuckle, Ninetails, Gabite, Breloom and Braxen from those. I would recommend doing them while watching a movie or something. I usually do it while drawing and put a headphone in my ear so I can hear the sparkle.
Chaining though fishing or Poke Radar is your last two options although they require a bit more focus.

I would not mind at all helping you get a shiny you want as long as it can be randomly encountered or chained. Are there any you're after?

Funny thing is hoards were the first thing I went for with no success. xD

However I wasn't aware of the encounter rate being higher in the safari so I could try there for a while (once I get some good background noise going).

Seems like it takes me a good hour of sweet scenting before I get one. Then once I get that first one I get a few in a row. Same with REing in the Friend Safari.
