Funny thing is this one wasn't in my inbox either; almost missed it.

Anyway I find it interesting that the Orians seem to be fighting the Si'itians; some of your races been at war or something? (Granted my alien race: the Drathkorians, would be at war with just about anyone.) Reminds me I should start some things on the sci-fi I've been planning; I still only have the premiere draft. :(

The Orians fight pretty much any other race in our galaxy which comes from their religious fanaticism. The Si'itians don't have much trouble with it since their technology is advanced far enough for Orian ships to be little more than annoyances, same goes for the Selecin and the Vird.
We Sol and the Verians have our trouble with them though, since Orian technology is more advanced than ours is...mostly anyhow...their fanatic decadence has a habit of deminishing the usefulness of some of their weapons, not to forget their abnormal pride, but we'll get to that at some point X3

Got to love space / fantasy fight scenes, very well done with all the melted spots on the armor of the Orian ships and the punctures on the Si'itian ship (or it's shields) Quite the battle, but a one sided fight it seems

The small punctures are actually weapon ports...you'll get the exact point if you check up on the sunrise class in my scraps

Also, yeah, it's rather onesided, but not surprizing if you think about the si'itians being about a few millenia ahead of the Orians

dude, it's the unspoken rule that if laser colour is dependant on sides, the blue lasers ALWAYS beat the red lasers XD

Well... all the handguns on both sides were red, but the spacecraft weapons were red for goodies and green for baddies. I'm such a nerd.

alright, the exception to the rule is people stupid enough to put an unguarded vent on a space ship that could cause the entire thing to explode. doesn't matter how crappy your guns are if the enemy is THAT stupid XD

I love your designs for the Si'itian ships, by the way. A combination of forms that're sleek, and somehow solid, at the same time.

Die Si'itianer haben verschiedenen Arten von Waffen, ja? Ich erkenne Strahlen und Impulswaffen wie aussieht.

Die meisten Spezies verwenden eine vielzahl von Waffen, wenn sie denn die technischen Möglichkeiten dazu haben. Es gibt auch welche die immernoch erfolgreich auf Pfeil/Bogen Variationen bei der Infanterie setzen, bzw. Flechette entwicklungen.

Mhh wie verhält sich das mit Klingenwaffen, wird in der Richtung auch noch was verwendet?

Verwendet, ja. Die Frage is nur in welchem Umfeld. Abhängig davon in welchem Stil die in Frage kommende Spezies kämpft kann es sein, dass es für den tatsächlichen Nahkampf besondere Einheiten gibt. Davon abgesehen tragen zumindest die meisten Armeen noch eine art von Messer oder Bayonett bei sich, sofern ihre Waffen nicht ohnehin irgendwelche Nahkampfaufsätze haben.

Was ide zusetzliche Beiwaffe für den Nahkampf betrifft stimme ich dir zu, selbst ich habe einen Dolch für den Nahkampf erarbeitet.
