OK! Now, as I've said, I'm mostly an RPG dragon...sure I've played adventures and a couple other things, but that's mostly who I am.
Now shooters aren't exactly my thing. You won't find me playing Rainbow Six or Call of Duty. However, when combined with intriguing mechanics and background, I'll give it a shot. That's what I did with Bioshock, and I like that game. Then came along one with RPG elements...and after awhile, I finally got it...
Borderlands!
Now I've beaten the first one to death and it's DLC, but I finally got my hands on Borderlands 2 awhile ago and finally finished the main story (no DLC yet). And WOW, very nice. Nice to have some story elements introduced. The final boss, while cool to look at...well...there's a trick to beating him hehe.
Anyway, to the overall.
Borderlands features guns, something most RPG players may not go with. But you know what they WILL go with? LOOT. AWWWWW PRECIOUS LEWTS! It's had psychological studies prob it, but the lure of millions of items to collect and own can make your mouth water and fingers/claws tremble at the aspect of getting THAT legendary weapon.
You have your pistols, assault rifles, sniper rifles, etc., to pick from. You got commons, rares, very rares, legendaries. You got ones that shoot fire, throw lightning, spurt acid and, later, paint your foes to make them more susceptible to attack. Add in relics and personal character mods, and you've got SO much to collect and SO many combinations.
Oh and the characters...all their own playstyles and skills that you get to mold to create the perfect Vault Hunter. THAT'S what makes it cool. You get to pick your own weapons, your own skills, your own mods and boosts for the class you pick...and BLOW THE HECK OUT OF THINGS!
If your and RPG gamer and want something with guns, check Borderlands out, it just might be for you!

ANY-WAY...as I said. I had beaten the final boss. It wasn't as epic as I thought it would be. After I got rezzed, I kinda...picked it off at a distance heh heh. What? Ammo vendor was right there, and did you SEE all that lava!? My Mag may be fire-resistant, but I'm not testing MY scales on that theory.
I was the Commando class, mainly because I liked having a mechanical ally take pot shots for me heheh, though in this case, the turret was more keen on shoot Rakks than the BIG GIANT BOSS in front of it.
Jack and Lilith were safely in an orby thing....though, funny, cause Siren, her, was the class I picked first way back in Borderlands 1, as I was interest in what a Siren could do. Finished the game with her...but also...with Mordecai...and ooooooh man...Mordecai...these days...I do NOT even need to fire a single bullet with that guy. Nope. With a 1-second delay on HIS ultimate? KILLING TIME!
So I did what anybody did when they knew about farming the Warrior. And after 50 tries, I got tired of waiting for that dang Impaler Shield to show up and just took the Flakker (in retrospec, those 3-4 Conference Calls I got should have been the ones), and blew that Warrior to high heck!
I let Lilith take Jack out as, despite my fury at Jack for killing a "specific feathery avian", Lilith had the right, given her relationship with Rolan.
So, it was over! We won! And more vaults to go! So, tired and exhausted, and sweating like crazy (we were practically IN a volcano), I led the way back with Lilith, who was understandably not teleporting anybody for awhile, when I got JUMPED!
Before I knew it, I dropped my awesome launcher (can you guess what it is? It's a Legendary!) and Tiny Tina had her hands around my throat! I THINK she was congratulating me...but with her mental state, I have no idea. I was trying my best to be non-aggressive, and not dropping my turret on her, knowing what happened to her parents and all and her dealing with Rolan's loss...but I was losing air fast, and Claptrap wasn't much help.
Oh yeah, Clappy. From Borderlands as a whole...I like Claptrap. The guy's funny, but nobody else seems to like him much (So lonely...and nobody came to the party but me, which is just...sad). In-game, he couldn't follow along with me because of his greatest enemy (shared by a panda)...STAIRS. Apparently, I think, Tina managed to get him over by the use of some grenades.
Of course, in this situation, he wasn't exactly.....helpful......
Now that my throat is better and I've gotten a change (IT WAS SWEAT. VOLCANO.), I'm preparing in True Vault Hunter Mode for the DLC!
And yes, I know about Assault on Dragon's Keep. That's gonna be fuuuuunnn...

They went down to 7% in the sequel But then again, small cost for reincarnation tah! Though, in retrospect, they got rid of the health kits in Borderlands 2...
Granted, it can be hard starting out. What class did you pick? If you need some distance-assistance, the Soldier and Hunter classes have the turret and Bloodwing semi-allies to help out. Actually Mordecai is great with abilities that up drop rates (including cash and health).

A fundamental flaw with Roland's ultimate was put in best words by a player I've watched that "my turret can easily be defeated, simply by going behind it" The soldier, though, is probably better for multiplayer, given that the turret can give ammo replenishing on the spot and stuff at later levels.
Honestly, if you want a good ally-skill, pick Mordecai for your first time. With some upgrades, Bloodwing can hit opponents and just by hitting them can drop money and health. Seriously, with the right skill-set and luck on mods, you won't have to even fire a gun with Bloodwing striking stuff in one blow!
In retrospect, Axton (the sequel's soldier) has a MUCH better turret. It can actually fire all instead of just forward arc. Upgrade enough and it gets a shield, missiles and, at the end of one tree, you can send out TWO at a time! They put Roland's Scorpio to shame!

Nah, not an online-player of any game. HAVE seen co-op play...a hilarious one heheh. Of course, it's also a challenge too, as loot ain't shared, so you gotta find agreeable players when doing that sort of thing.
Optional boss? There's a few heheh. But if your talking about "that thing"...no, not yet. Hear it was solo-ed using Zer0 before, wonder if I can manage with Axton and his turrets of awesomeness

Lightning...good for second plays when almost everyone, even the bandits, have shields. Corrosive though, really got to shine later on with all the Hyperion tech that has armor.
Speaking of Corrosive, I LOVE my Corrosive Cloud grenade, oh so much Except when it bangs off a wall and hits me in the face....

It seems as though Azul is extremely sensitive when it comes to the topic of using his mags especially when its the case of whether or not its dirty. Also whoever is speaking the yellow colored dialogue seems to be saying that he has indeed soiled himself...I'm assuming its that robot who's holding the new mag.
