One of my favorite characters in the original Ninja Turtles series? Mona Lisa
"Raphael Meets His Match" has always been one of my favorite episodes, and she's the reason. I would have LOVED to have seen more of her in stories.
But no.
We instead got more of Zack. Because...reasons... I guess?
Her toy came later in line, and looks like it was based on a design before the settled on what she'd look like in the show. Different hair, fins, 3 toes instead of two, and most importantly.. a hidden turtle shell on her back under a leotard she didn't wear in the show.
Repaints on her include: Hair, bandanna, belt & buckle, and her Blow Fish Mace (Though I will be going back later to touch that one up a bit more)
I totally ship Raph/Mona and would love to see her back in the new series.
Also fun fact: Her voice actress is the mother of the current voice for April O'Neil.
