This is actually very realistic. I doubt macros could acquire enough materials to cover the interior body of 100's maybe thousands of giant soldiers.

Interesting alright but my gripe is perhaps the choise of footwear.
If these are macros then wouldent it be a good idea to give them something that covers their lower legs a little more? Seeing how thats the part closest to the micros that are going to be shooting at them?

Considering physiology, I think the best thing to protect is the -inside- of the limbs, versus the outside, if it's a question of limited resources to protect the extremities versus the core areas of the body. Perhaps a happy medium of plating on the interior of the limb, because the insides of the limbs, both arms and legs, house the most blood vessels? This is why in self defense courses, they suggest if you've no choice but to defend yourself from a bladed weapon, to use the outside of your extremities since they are less likely to strike a vital blood vessel. Certainly you'll be cut and injured, but you'll not bleed out as fast than say, getting struck on the interior of a limb and hitting an artery.

I do see that point and while the footwear does bug me still i see that it does make a bit more sence in that way.
And if i where to point out the fun factor in it all, open sandals like that IS going to catch a few unfortunatte micros, much to the delight of any sensiblle macro.
