Well seems to hold true most of the time.

Well yeah, Us girls need: Casual clothes, clothes for events, clothes for nice dinner, clothes to sleep in. I personally prefer my own towels to hotel ones, so there's that... not to mention the comfy undies, sexy undies, and 'make your partner drool' undies... plus (provided you're not flying) toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, bodywash, conditioner, hairspray, brushes, curling (or straigthening) iron, stuff for contacts/glasses (if needed)..

And that's not counting any fursuit/cosplay items you might be doing! ^__^

Not all girls are into beauty products, but yeah, that would make for a hefty bag. Although I know guys are always like, "Gosh girl, how much stuff you need to bring!" Frustrating to us, but in another way to look at it, Girls are more often times more prepared.

Such as I was going to visit family in another town for 2 days, so I did not bring much, just PJ's tooth brush, comb, and a pair of socks and underwear. I did not know that I would end up cutting up fire wood with a chainsaw in a hot day. So I was real sweaty and wishing I brought a extra clean shirt and pants. I had to deal with the rest of the day feeling icky.
