Steven Universe: This is Garnet Page 2
Given Jaspers comments in Jailbreak about fusions, I’m interested in knowing the other character’s reactions to Garnet remaining fused. A lot of folks have discussed fusions as being an accepted part of gem society but I feel like Jasper’s comments imply it might not be.
I have been emotionally compromised by Steven Universe. The maternal feelings are strong right now and I love all these space babies.

Oh, geez. Jailbreak may have been the defining moments for Garnet. I've noticed how more open towards Steven she became over the course of the series thus far, which may be Ruby and Sapphire's personalities leaking out. It is mentioned that the Gems wanted Steven to find out on his birthday about Garnet really being a fusion. Jasper's comments I feel my imply more that Fusion is gray area with Gem society. After all, Jasper did come off as the power nut, and at the end she wasn't that against fusing with Lapis. (Lapis why you make me sad! D: )
Garnet was already my favorite but then this episode came out and it's like "My favorite is a combination of two more favorites oh no." Also yes, definitely a defining moment for Garnet.
Also, agreed on the thing with Jasper. I really want to get more episodes delving into what's going on with the gem homeworld and culture.

Oh, I share the curiosity about the Gem homeworld! According to Lapis things are drastically different, which might imply a heavy imbalance of power turning it into some kind of tyrannical government. Either that or just strong feelings about the war thousands of years prior to the story. Peridot will probably be a defining factor in learning about the Gems, as she did escape to I assume is Earth. Jasper I feel will more than likely reappear at some point, as Lapis can only hold the fusion prison for so long no matter how dominant she is over it.
As awesome as this comic is, I would be remiss if I didn't point out that you forgot to draw Garnet's gem in the 3rd panel. But that's just me nip-picking.
I think that gem fusion isn't as accepted in Gem culture as we might thought. For all we know this comic could be the reason Garnet decided to side with Rose to began with.

I like to think fusing is the gem equivalent of marriage, and Jasper has her views because she is a borderline psycho who may or may not have serious relationship issues (she's probably an abuser... >.>)
Jasper thinks of fusion as a tool, but she seems like an actual Soldier type of person? Domestic Gems may think of it as a more romantic thing...
