i have a ridonkulus animal collection too, but I never really thought about how much they've cost me over time D: but, wow, its probably a lot. >.> I spent 80 bux on this big red panda at Furfright over the weekend and I still feel a little guilty about that, but hes so cuuuute. I never really attribute values to my animals though after I've had them for awhile, since I could never bring myself to sell them.
:B I have a few of your lemurs too!

Ffffff I have a lot more animal plushies other than just these, too. D: These are just the lemurs! We have stuffed animals and beanie babies of all kinds scattered around the house. Some of them were just given to us, though. Still- There are probably multiple thousands of dollars worth of animals laying around, haha.
YEESH! I've never spend $80 on a single plush! I bought I think 7 or 8 of these, along with 5 or 6 non-plushie lemur items, at ONE zoo and it cost me $75 and I felt really guilty at first... Haha.
Even though it does occasionally hit me, thinking about how much I spent... I still love them all and there's no way I could ever sell them! My dad made fun of me for buying stuffed animals, and he recommended that I buy video games instead... Video games are cool and all, but they break easy, and with most games (save for a select few, like Psychonauts) I get bored with them. :/ I like them, sure, but I don't see how buying video games is any better than stuffed animals. At least every time I look at my pile of lemur toys it makes me smile- When I look at a video game laying around I just go "eh" and toss it on the shelf or something. xD
SWEET! XD Do you have any lemurs that I don't have? O:

Ohhh, cool! ^^ My sister loves dogs, but she doesn't collect the plushies much. If she did, she would probably want to collect Papillon plushies (that's one of her favorite breeds) but there are SO few of those plushes around... Haha.
Awww, cute! And no, I'M lame- I can't even come up with names for mine! D: None of mine have names... I have a hard enough time just coming up with names for all my characters! I have 50-some lemur characters, and only like half of them have confirmed names... And I need to make at least 50 more lemur characters, too! I'll probably use up every name I can think of. XD

Yeah. ^___^ Awwwe. :D I LOOOOV Papillons. They are so pretty! I have always had a thing for dogs. I actually used to be HORRIFIED of them. Hard to believe now .. lol. :D
LOL. I suck at coming up with names for characters. I actually don;t think ANY of them have names! Yet, allll of my plushies do! lol. :)

So do I! ^^ I wasn't too into Papillons at first, when my sister was, but then I made a new friend... And she has like TWELVE of them- She breeds them for show and stuff! Pedigree pups! And they're SOOOOOO CUTE! I just love playing with them! :D
Haha! My little sister, Tiana, is scared of pretty much all animals- ESPECIALLY dogs- but then her favorite animals are mostly all REALLY dangerous ones! Monkeys, Snakes, and Sharks! She also likes Turtles and Frogs, which aren't always as dangerous (depending on the species), but the other 3... Hahaha. xD
I think she's getting less afraid of dogs and other animals, though. :)
Haha! xD I think I find it easier to name characters than it would be to name my plushies... At least with characters I'll have a design or personality to go off of- I would probably feel weird naming a lifeless toy. But, that's just me. xD I'm too uncreative, haha.

Neon lemurs? Are they like the tiny white+gray+purple one I have in the bottom right corner? What do they look like?? D: I MUST SEE!
If you go to the toy store and you have the money, buy oneeeee and I will totally buy it from you. Or I'll count it as a commission or something. ;0; <333

Yes, they're worth it! ^^ I feel bad now, but I know that when I get my own house or at least my own room (a big room that I can actually pain on the walls and stuff- The room I have is TINY and we can't modify anything because it's just an apartment we're renting) I know I'll feel better about it. I'll be able to display them all and it'll be so cool! :D
I find them in the weirdest places, I swear! I found Olivia at the mall, 1 Ring-Tailed at DOLLAR TREE, one of my hanging Ring-Tailed was at a HEALTH FOOD STORE... XD And something stupid- My local zoo has 4 species of lemur, but we almost NEVER have even a single lemur item- Plushie or otherwise. But every time I go to the Caldwell Zoo, which DID only have 3 Ring-Tailed Lemurs but they recently bought a pair of Red Ruffed Lemurs... Anyway, they only have a few of them, but their gift shop has all kinds of lemur stuff! The first time I ever went there I got 7 lemur things in one go, and the second time I got /12/ all at once! It's crazy!
But for a lot of the stuff, there's no way I could find it IRL- Thank you, eBay! xD

Awww, cool! What brand is that one? (It should say on the tush tag or something)
I've seen that Ring-Tailed one online, but haven;t found any IRL. Yoo-Hoos are really expensive, though, so I probably couldn't afford it if I did see one... Oh, and I've seen a smaller version of the Cream one, too! But, like I said- they're expensive! It was $8, which I couldn't afford and my mom wouldn't let me spend that much on such a small plush... :(

I want a Treelo plushie so bad!! I've been trying like crazy to find plushies of Treelo, Zoboo (from Zoboomafoo), Julian/Maurice/Mort (From the Madagascar movies) and Plio/Suri/Zini (From Disney's Dinosaur)... But I haven't had any luck! And whenever I DO find a plush of them, it's too expensive for me to buy... ): With all these plushies, it might look like I'm rich, but more than half of these were bought for me by other people, and the ones I DID buy I had to spend all my birthday money on and even then I had to try and find them online for as cheap as possible... :/
Yeah, and the only plushies I've seen are of the 4 dumb main animals, the penguins, the CHIMPS, and then Mort and Maurice... King Julien is my favorite, and most people love him, but he doesn't get hardly any merchandising! And the ONE item I've seen of him was the Madagascar slider in the Cereal Boxes... But they mislabeled his name as "Maurice"! HE GETS NO LOVE! ;o;
XDDD And I've gotten even more since I took this photo, too! (Well, I think there's only 2 new plushies... But I got a bunch of new non-plush items)
No, actually my purple lemur is one of the tiiiiny mini ones that has a clip in it so it's hands can 'hug' you. I don't have one of the bigger ones that makes sound. :/

Unfortunately, I'm nowhere near. :/ But MAN, I WISH I WAS IN FLORIDA! You lucky son of a gun! I want to work with Sanford's Lemurs SOOO BAAAAAD...
If you ever get any good photos of the Sanford's, you've gotta show me! I can never find enough photos of the guys, but they're one of my absolute favorite species! There just aren't many in captivity, people rarely visit the northern range of Madagascar, and those that DO visit there tend to mislabel them as the wrong species so I it's hard to just google them for photos... So if you ever happen to get some shots, I would absolutely loooove to see them, if it's not too much trouble! :)
Oh, and the Common Browns, too- I've worked with a few and gotten a couple shots, but I always love seeing pics of them!
Does the conservation center have Black Lemurs? I forget... Seems like they were mostly focusing on the brown species, mongoose, gray gentle, and then the more common ones like the ruffeds and ring-tailed. I'm trying to get a hold of some blacks but they're really uncommon in captivity, especially in the private sector (at least, in my area)... :/ What I wouldn't do to work with them and the Sanford's, though!
