So ... I played that game that came out today ...
I may or may not do a written review, but suffice to say for now, HALO 5 : GUARDIANS is, as far as I'm concerned, everything they promissed it would be and it's brought me back into the fold for the story.
Nighties for now.

That's the reason I got a 360, because I wanted to continue the Halo story (played the first game on PC ) but the only way to do that was a game console. Thought "well, there's bound to be more games I like enough to get" and so it went. Trouble is, there AREN'T many games that I like enough to buy for console, I'd rather play them on my gaming PC, since it generally is better in every way (because I overbuild).
I think this time I'll just watch the story on youtube and save the $500 that the game and console would be.

Heh, I've been accused of similarities before, but I'm not planning on including forerunner floaty elements with the si'itians just yet. However, I have decided that I will include my H4LO head-canon as a story element, once I start working on my sci-fi Universe story
So, is Halo #35 worth it? :P The Xbone definitely isn't worth any amount of money IMO with all of its data collection and spying tech (Kinect)...
Seems like Halo is becoming the Final Fantasy of the modern age. Nobody understands what's going on anymore unless you've been a die-hard fan since original release (on the Xbox, since it's actually a PC game that got stolen by the Microsoft Xbox team)

*shrug* Regardless, it's still work more than a PlayStation, but then that's not hard. I didn't get the Kinect extension and I wont either X3
As for it's sequellage; FF still has sequely coming out and is a lot older than Halo, so I'm not sure the comparison applies, but personally I feel there's nothing wrong with a series that spans its story over multiple games, so long as they do it well. Hence why H4 miffed me so bad X3 and it 'was' released for PC.

But seriously, Sins of a Solar Empire beat them to this space craft design like years ago.

If they tried to make a good Vs evil or personal Vs important lesson here...
They failed miserably.
Game-play wise is not bad but its the same recipe from Halo 3 and 4, reach spot, kill everyone in sight, move to next spot, kill everyone in sight, repeat.
The only lesson here so far.
Treat your washing machine with respect or one day it will turn against you and try to destroy humanity.

I don't think either of those two lessons are applicable or attempted in any way shape or form, which is a shame, to an extent.
As for the gameplay; that's the formula for every HALO game, ever :b the only thing that changes is your abilities to do so ... like being able to dual wield (not since H3) or the booster engines, etc.
