To put it simply, all you can do is decide to stop worrying about it and start dating some guys you know are gay. There are gay buff guys out there, don't worry. :) I know from experience, constantly thinking about something you can't have isn't good for you.

College is symbolic of a time where you can take control of your own life and do what you please, whether or not that actually holds true. In high school, you're still expected to conform to the idea that your peers and/or parents have of you.

...Besides, the jocks look better in college anyway. They need our help more then, to keep their scholarships.

I know the feeling. D: There's this HUGE football player who I see a moderate amount of the time cuz he's in my dorm building. Well, last night I'm standing in line for food, and he walks up right behind me. I was supposed to tell people that the line was closed, but I couldn't even muster up the courage to turn around. xD Just froze.

this guy in particular doesn't live where i live but i see him three times a week in class and each day it gets worse. he doesn't play at the college level but from what i've gathered he did in high school (i've seen the people who actually do for our school and none of them are very attractive - not as attractive as this guy anyway)

so usually it's me and then some friend that's a girl of his and then him sitting in a row. they're probably both wondering why the hell i keep sitting there. i keep looking for an opportunity to talk to him but i never get one (not that it would probably even matter anyway ) but even if i did i would have trouble doing so just as you did

sometimes i see him with a group of people eating but other times i see him just sit and eat by himself. that's bothersome because there's a desire to just go up and sit but i know i can't do that

Ugh. x3 It's so shitty. You ask a girl out, the worst she'll do is say no. You ask a football player out, and you get jumped outside your dorm >_> I'd say hi if I saw them playing games (other than Madden) or something, though; indicates a nerdier, not constantly-testosterone-fueled side. :P

I say, just talk to him, you'll be scared the though time, no joke, and it's no a comforting thing to look forward to, BUT DO IT!, and if anything, you'll learn he's a pretty cool guy, trust me, I am no football player, or sports guy in general, but, I'm a big guy, and I learned pretty early, that even these Jocks aren't as Hollywood says they are, maybe not the Fantasized completely Gays ones we like to think, but good guys none the less, and I'm sure he'll like ya if you make a good first impression.

it's okay - i always appreciate people expressing their thoughts regardless of how long it's been since i posted

i only got to speak to him once and that was almost 2 months ago. a girl always sat in between us. now he moved to a different seat, the girl likes talking to -me- and some friend of hers took the big guy's seat. so now i really don't know how i'm going to be able to talk to him. i can't sit by him where he is now because someone already sits in the seat beside him.

there was one point where i left an empty seat beside me and he showed up late so he was forced to sit there....but we were taking an exam and couldn't talk.

that class really causes me alot of stress
