The Mojave Cannonball crosses a gulch trestle as it approaches the sourth/east portal of Tunnel No.2. I say "South/East" as the line is generally a North-South right-of-way, with Panamint Junction being the southern terminal (just south of Searles Dry Lake) and Ballarat being the northern terminal and headquarters for the Mojave & Panamint RR. But on this portion of the line the track heats in an east-west direction. So when it comes to the exact orientation of the portal it looks east towards the Panamint Valley. But it looks to the "south" according to the direction for the flow of rail traffic.
Also there is indeed tunnel track here, though it's glitching out for some reason and hence the magical "space" seen just inside. I'm working on finding a remedy for this.
