Just a li'l one-page deal here. I haven't given up on the Zootopia stuff, just slowed down a lot as I have other things that need done (or should have been done when I was doing Zootopia stuff.
There will be more on the way ... sooner or later.

She does realize she's actually encouraging him, fight? Nick has just learned about something else he can do to get to his bunny. If she isn't careful she could make it so that when they are not on duty she might as well wear a collar for Nick as he will know so many ways of getting a reaction out of her.
Heh.
I just re-watched Zootopia.
So much more to see every time I watch.
So much stuff layered...So rich in visuals and sensations.
And I am becoming very fond of Bogo.
Gruff old veteran cop that he is, he has been growing on me.
I want more.
But I have to wait.
CURSE YOU TIME AND SPACE!!
WHY MUST I WAIT?!!

True. That's why I said it rarely strikes twice. I guess the success of a sequel would depend on what line Disney chooses follow. For example, if they choose to make a big deal about a romance between Nick and Judy, it probably won't work. If they choose to go with an entirely different idea, more crime investigation using the interaction between Nick and Judy as the basis of the storyline, then it might work.
Yes, i agree. If they overdo it with romantic it won´t work, but if they decide to completely exclude that it also won´t work. They have set themselves i really high bar to cross. But you know what? I have faith in them, they will make this work and i´m really really eager awaiting a sequel !
Hell, it worked for Shrek, Po, Hicks and Toothless and for my taste even for cars. They were all good sequels !
*Awaiting intensifies*

I never saw any of the sequels you mentioned, except for Shrek and I don't doubt that they were good. However, Disney has made numerous sequels that didn't work (Beauty and the Beast II for example). They normally go straight to DVD because they really aren't that good. Of course, when you take an established story and try to continue it past the obvious end, it doesn't work so good.
I agree that any potential romantic involvement with Nick and Judy should be the secondary story line. Unless you start off with a potential romance, no movie I've ever seen works with the romance being the major theme of a movie. Don't misunderstand what I'm saying here. What I mean is, Nick and Judy in the original were friendly antagonists at first and friends by the end. If they want to make them closer, that's fine; just don't make that the major theme of the movie it rarely works, in my opinion.

I completely agree ! If they come closer trough whatever plot they may get its basically fine, but the other way round, if the plot itself is their romance and everything would evolve around that fact, i think , like you, it wouldn´t work. But i am nearly sure that didney is able to pull that of, if they are not aiming for DVD-release in the first place. But zootopia being the blockbuster it was, i´m quite sure they will, at least for a second part, aim for higher goals !
Well, as I've said, I'm no Disney fan. In fact, I've only seen, perhaps, five Disney movies I would own because I liked them. (Fantasia, Fantasia 2000 and Zootopia are three such.) I do own one of the worst Disney adaptations I've ever seen but only because I happen to like the original story, that being the movie "John Carter".
Aaaaand here is the colored version :)

Sir Schwartz, thine artwork remaineth the finest of the fandom in terms of sheer expressiveness. Regardst thou the shifting faciality of thine lapine protagonist, altered substantively in each frame.
But seriously, yours is still my favorite artwork. Sabrina Online turned me onto the whole furry thang long ago and I haven't strayed since.

Were you inspired by the late

Later that day, after Nick (as always) falls asleep at his desk (hey, he warned them he was nocturnal). . .
Judy: *clicks 'record' on her pen and rubs behind Nick's ears*
Nick: *happy fox noises*

Well, you and one of the few others who did funny and cheeky images of Nick messing around with Judy's ears predicated something that would later in the sequel.
Especially that "never pull a bunny's ears" scene in the previews!
But the way you drew this comic is both cute and funny from beginning to end! X3
