Normally my work's super dark and I always strive to be brighter and more colourful, I flipped it and made an awesome wallpaper people can find on Patreon (both versions!) ^^
Also I think it's really cool that at this same time last year I did my first picture of Kira posted here where I can see the improvement and I'm super happy about it. :D

Before Patreon I never would have provided things like wallpapers, video WIPs, progress updates, GIF WIPs, or high res files to the public regardless. ^.~

I'm glad you feel accomplished within yourself that you've improved, and I know for a fact that it won't end there. The road ahead is long and treacherous but, your chances of succeeding will get better and better.
As for the colouration, do you plan to use warmer and brighter colors in future works since your goal was to get brighter and more vibrant pieces or are you implying brightness differently since the colors in this piece gives me the impression of warmth and coolness (I guess it's from the blue/white colors which made me think about the stars, and how blue stars carry a bright and hot luminescent shine that can be seen light-years away whereas the blue oceans and skies on earth gives me this cooler and relaxed feeling)?

When I said brighter/vibrant I might like, both less-dark and more colourful. We noticed with this picture compared to the old one though that the shading on Kira herself is warmer (it's subtle, can notice when they're side by side) and I like to have characters looking warm and more alive. Since I'm typically a commission-bitch I wouldn't say it's in my control to play the warm vs cool but that's definitely something I'd like to keep trying to include and exercise too!

It's just been a bunch of tiny improvements in drawing/shading/colouring different parts over time, I have this tutorial page but I think I've learned more lately by staring deeply at the work of artists that really impress me like orphen-sirius/wildering and others o/ such masterful colour work

Just like when people go to shaman for spiritual guidance. People are coming to you so you can release their imagination, ideas and dreams from the prison of their minds. As they are either unable to do that on their own. Or in the way that its satisfying for them. You are literally creating something from nothing...Isn’t that the basic term for miracle?
