So technically it isn't megatron, yet.

Well, technically speaking as you put it, on the current G1- IDW verse he was already called Megatron when he was a miner on Tarn, way before the Decepticon cause or his career as a gladiator (as seen in the scenes where he talks with Terminus).

You are probably referring to Megatron on a different continuity, like maybe the aligned verse.

Also I don't want to sound rude, but Megatron in the previous submission looks to me more like one of the seekers like Thundercracker.

You know, I actually notied some time later that I made his chin super low, and that does somehat detract a bit from his usual looks.
Been pondering on maybe correcting that, but idk if it wouldn't make his expression fit less.
