Ok, a small fan-comic for a semi-unknown feline protagonists book.
"Solo's Journey" from J.S.Aiken, with cats living in group, some prophect/spirits etc... obviously wrote years before Warriors of E.Hunter. xD
It's a nice book. A stand-alone, and it provide lots of interesting fun scenes, including this one.
When Dom Spanno ("Dom" is the title of leader, a bit more hard-fought and absolute position compared to Warriors clan leaders) announce that males (Bards) can now openly aknowledge their kits. The book follows a bit more realistic nature of mates' concept compared to Warriors.
PS: I named the picture "Big Revelations" because... well, I just guessed it since the beginning xD
And in the end the revelation (made at 1/2 of the book) brings little to none change to plotline.

Oh *chuckle* in the end it's a bit weird xD The book was decent but I did not place it among the "loved ones". This thing for once was a bit puzzling, there was no real need at all for the new leader to make this new rule if not to just try insert some more like "warriors-happy-mateship" between male and females while the beginning of the book started a bit more on the realistic side of cats mating..

And it was NOT due the fact the newly-revealed-father has no chance for a better bonding time with the son because there is no time! (due spoilery stuff). And also after drama happens, the protagonist mostly remember him by the role as MENTOR than "newly-found-father".
It could have been much more cool just a random mention "Oh you know, I am also your father!" rather than declaring in this way with a change of law Xd
