well Hollywood filmed a lot of wild west movies in Monument Valley which is in both Utah and Arizona (mostly Arizona) but thanks to that most people think that's what most of "the wild west" looks like. ( I don't live down there but we do have similar rock formations here in my part of Utah XD)
