i maek caek (A Small Window Into My Day-to-Day Life)
Hello everyone. :)
I've been....pretty private about what I spend most of my time doing to say the least. And, for the most part, I keep things a friendly business professional.
So today, I'd like to go into a little bit about my daily life for some of my followers. Let you get to know me a little bit. :P
A few months before Christmas, I started a job in a bakery to help make ends meet for the holidays. I was expecting to quit some time in January, to be quite honest, but I've really grown to love not just the job but the people I work with as well. Every single one of them is so so creative and talented. They inspire and encourage me in all of my endeavors.
There are a few problems here and there, though! Mostly that we've been short staffed pretty much ever since I started working with lots of people being hired and quitting within a month. I'm such a yes-man that I go in literally any time I'm called or texted and I've had a lot less time for art than I would like.
But the hard work and dedication has been paying large dividends, too. My boss was supposed to be taking a vacation the weekend of FWA and I wasn't sure I was going to get to go since no one gets a day off when she's gone. Though we talked and it pretty much boiled down to how she can't /not/ let me off when I've done so much to try to make the place run as smoothly as possible. She even had to have a talk with everyone else of why she was allowing this since she pretty much says "fuck you" to any other request when she's on vacation. :P
My boss has cleared me to go to pretty much every convention I've asked for as well since (most) are in some of the slowest times of the year.
I feel like I'm at a bit of a cross roads. I will always want to do art and try different things, though I also feel that with hard work and dedication I could probably turn this into a career I would enjoy as well.
For now, though, they finally let me do some decorating after I've been insisting for the last six months. :P These were my first two attempts.
So anyway, that's what I've been doing. That's where I've been. :) Just working an average of 30 hours a week and not having the time/energy to do any more than that, haha~
I still hope to see you all around! Take care! ^^
