Great preview, a couple concerns though:

Would these replace Apsara comics? If so you might consider including a pack of "pinups" with the game as I'm not always going to be in the mood to play through a whole VN

The other is like you said is distributing executables, which is a huge risk. I know there are some VN softwares that use HTML5 canvas and javascript to run in a browser instead, but are quite a bit more difficult to use.

The restart dialog places buttons mostly outside the window, at least, in XP. They are hard to press.

The behaviour of skipping is inconvenient. Is there any hotkey to only skip the current sequence or to enable/disable it without the menu?
