This picture of my original character Ashien took far longer than it really should have. I really goofed in production and made things more complicated for myself. I knew I wanted the background to be set at a Dutch angle for dramatic effect, but drawing the background at a perspective angle was silly of me. I should have plotted it at a right angle then tilted it once completed.

Knowing that I'm making this for patrons, I wanted to go above and beyond in the details. I never want them to feel as if I'm just putting half made pieces out there to get money. My supporters on Patreon get access to larger quality images and extra content that shows pictures of these images in progress.

My character Ashien Kamizake is a wind mage in my story, and the mother of my protagonist, Adler. I've made a lot of alterations to Ashien's origin since I initially create her. All in the name of making her a more well rounded character. She's known as the Shiro'onryō, where she comes from. Simply translated, it means "white spirit of vengeance".
