My new tail and tail belt I just finished. This is the back panel of my tail belt (maybe harness to be). This is the first serious Leatherworking I have done in 18 years. I am thus far pleased with the results. I made a ton of mistakes, and am really rusty. It was a nice refresher, and good practice.
All I had was a $60 set of cheap Chinese tools I got off Amazon, a $20 strip of 6-8oz belly leather from Hobby Lobby, and scavenged D rings, snaps, and buckles from old bags, and belts.
So much more to make. I need to make the front panel for this, but that requires more leather, ordering real D-rings, harness rings, and some smaller buckles, and a strap cutter would be nice. That is all another $60-$100. Art is expensive!
