It would have been interesting if Waul had turned on the other cats and these two became friends.

Going for a more Zootopia style. Bluth doesn't do cats very well :F

Funnily enough, now that I think about it, this movie was my first introduction to Sir John Cleese. So I guess I can blame my eventual love for Monty Python on Fievel Goes West.

I legit rarely if ever like "Bluth" movie sequels since they are never as good (look at ADGTH2), but I loved this one! It was cute and very well done sequel to the original. I love how you captured this though.

The second Secret of NIMH was also AWFUL AWFUL like one of the worst animated movies I have ever seen. I think Fievel goes west actually had Bluth working on it? Hence the vast difference in quality

Shockingly Bluth had nothing to do with Fievel Goes West, and I don't think had any involvement with any sequels ever done of his movies (probably why they all suck, minus this one. Haha).

That scene where she sings "Dreams to Dream" and he's crying and "dances" with her seemed coded to imply a future turn towards redemption. Alas, I was wrong.

I don't think Bluth designed the sequel characters. IIRC, he'd left for other things so Spielberg called in a new crew.
