If this is the fan fic I remember, it would be of Zig Zag's story. It had something like 90 chapters. I only ever got to read up to forty though.

I recall Zig Zag singing Amazing Grace in the story Final Farewell, which was a story done by the late TVDave, that told the events that immediately followed Sabrina’s premature end in Chris Foxx’s Tabitha.

I seem to remember that Zig Zag is an escapee from an abusive father, Heavy Domestic Violence, she had to save her sister from it by severely injuring or worse of said parent. This would have to be a funeral for the mother. but then, I have read so much and so long ago I could not tell you which story I read that out of.

Nope. The funeral is for Sabrina. Sabrina ended up passing away due to severe injuries from a car accident. It’s mentioned in the story “Tabitha”.

Zig Zag the Story, was it? I don't know if there was another companion story to it. Anyway, it was through ZZtS that I found your art. Always liked the pics you did for events in that story.

Oh man, I miss those days. I was on independent study and after I finished all my school work early in the week I'd spend the rest of my time online reading furry fiction.

Man, I miss that time...

So do I. I really liked the creativity that got bounced around. I have to think there are still places out on the internet where one can find that sort of environment, but I just don't know where to look. Too much other junk to sort through now. Ah well.

I've been pouring mine into RPGs recently. Coming up with something new for a group every week sure uses up a good deal.

Thanks for the sentiment TM. And you're so correct in your 'time of rampant creativity' notion. I wouldn't have gotten into writing either if someone else hadn't pointed the way.

It's all part of a notion I've had for a long time. God didn't create us to be 'worshipers'. What He really meant by the 'in His image' thing was that He wanted 'Fellow Creators'.

So, a big 'thank you' to everyone out there who is both 'inspired by others' and who can be 'inspiring to others'.

Speaking of which, I'll never forget the exact shade of red on James Bruner's face when you gave him that pic of James and Zig Zag, many years ago now.

You've reminded me of that whole period of time - Tigermark and I wrote/performed The Ballad of Zig Zag, and I came into my own writing stories based on Bruner's 'Zig Zag the Story', like "Ashes". Looking back on it, it was an intensely creative, productive period of time for me, and it has never really been the same since then.

I guess you really never know what you've got until it's gone.

I remember that too. James has lost some weight since then, and since I room with him at MFM, I gave him an updated picture with him looking a little slimmer. He liked that one too.

Yep. It started out with Chris Yost's "Tabitha" - a sort of alternate Sabrina universe. I was the one who wrote the 'Time Enough for Love' story, which was my take on the events of 'Tabitha'.

After reading a number of the comments about where this drawing came from, I can well imagine Zig reacting the way she is in this drawing. Sabrina was her first true friend that she was never sexually involved with, as I understand it. I've been lucky in that I've never had to go to the funeral of a friend, although I'm getting older and it's bound to happen sooner or later. You did a fantastic job on Zig Zag, Cirrel. It reminds me of a combination of Max's and Eric Schwartz' versions of her.
