So, all of you who were present at Anthrocon 17's closing ceremonies may be familiar with this piece, although you may not have seen it in detail. This was in the works since AC '16 when I spent some time with Anthrocon's long time ASL interpreters Bic and Lauren. At the closing ceremonies of AC '16, Uncle Kage asked them what their fursonnas would be if they were furries themselves. Bic chose a Rottweiler, a reference to his beloved Rottweiler dog, and Lauren chose a couger (which invoked a bit of laughter from the crowd <=)

In the months leading up to AC '17, I composed this piece of the two of them making the symbols for "A" and "C" in American Sign Language, using the fursonnas they had chosen at the previous convention. I donated a large format print to the charity auction, and printed a few smaller versions that were given to them during the AC '17 closing ceremonies by Uncle kage, who gave a shout out to me which was very much appreciated <=) My understanding is that one of those prints was framed and now hangs in their corporate headquarters, which is as great an honor as I could ever ask for. Bic and Lauren, I want to thank you again for your contribution to our community, and for making sure that all of our hearing impaired brothers and sisters could enjoy what our fandom has to offer.
