orthan and I spent a few minutes discussing the awesome that is this piece. There are many, many, many things I like about it, but in my personal tradition of picking out weird things to adore I offer you this: my opinion.I love the little FWOOSH at the back of his mane. So hard.
Nice picture. However unlike a lot of people here I perfer the way the original story in the original film can out. Simba is one of my animated movie heroes. Still, this is an interesting pic of The Lion King through some alternate universe sort of way by looking similar to how the movies' style. Nice touch with the vulturesm and the gloomy colors.
Here's a thing that's been bothering me slightly:
In TLK, Simba is Mufasa's son. Mufasa is the male of the pride, so Mufasa would also be Nala's father.
In TLK 2, Simba and Nala (we'll say cousins, for the sake of this discussion) have a cub together, Kiara, who eventually gets with Kovu, who is (probably, if not explicitly stated) Scar's son. Scar being Simba's uncle.
OW OW OW OWOWOWOW.
Dammit, Disney.
I fave this because it makes a hell of a lot more sense than canon TLK. And it looks better. (andhasasexiervoice)
