When Faisan gets up to his proper holiday weight, there's nothing that feels quite as good as indulging nearly every moment he's awake, and sporting a huge, round belly to show off as he struts about town, impressing the hens, and perhaps a few like-minded gentlemen. As fat and round as he is, it makes squeezing through shop doorways a bit problematic at times when he winds up stuck, but he's yet to find someone who'll ever turn down the chance to help rub all those feathers down with olive oil to help the well-in-flesh pheasant wiggle free.
