So what if in the future, say 30-40 years from now, our genetic engineering science advances to the point where it becomes possible to create another intelligent (non-human) species? And what if for the first such species, we decide to create a creature that looks like a Pokemon? One that is still similar enough to humans so that we can easily relate, however. An infernape could be an ideal candidate.
