One may forget that aside from the pony play we actually work with real horses, too. You may remember Jack. I introduced him to my gallery in 2010. With his 14 years he has grown to become a gentleman. But introducing him to carting was quite an endeavor (actually we hoped that he might remember his vacation with draft horse queen Rose). I can't really say if he did. The first few days were hard. We started by driving him from the ground, walking next to him. He would try to trot again and again... and only slowly accepted to walk. And finally, after two weeks of daily 20min exercises he accepted his new task. After all - it is more comfortable than carrying a human on his back.
