ONCE MORE, INTO THE BREACH!! *laughs* It occurs to me that it's been a jot since Sanita gave me our biggest news ever and thus I've been a bit... pre-occupied... *head tilts* Hey, cut me some slack... so here, my lovely Luciferian lotus

One of the strangest, most mind-boggling things to me is that whenever someone discusses the notion of LGBTQ folk and parenting. Some of the, being blunt about it here, most stupid things get said. "They can't be good parents!" ""What kind of environment is that to raise a child in?!" *clasps her hands together in faux-pearl-clutching alarm* "Oh my lawty-lawt, won't somebody think about the chillin'?!"
Well... *huffs, smiling in a rictus glare* Lately ...I AM thinking about the children. I'm thinking about our child. I'm thinking about the neighbors child. I'm thinking about any child and every child. I'm thinking that anyone who would teach their child, their innocent, un-knowing, trusting little baby, their own fucking child that they deserve to suffer eternally in torment and pain and anguish simply for the act of loving another human being really isn't someone I would ever look to for advice on much of anything, least of all what constitutes good parenting and a loving family structure.
I'm also thinking woe be to the son-of-a-bitch who tries to tell our little boy such. *snofts*
I'm thinking that in thirty-one states it's legal to discriminate against a child for them having come out of the closet, to deny them opportunities in education, to evict their family from their home, force them into an abusive "therapy" camp to torture them, terminate their parents from employment and deny the child, an innocent child potentially life-saving medical care... all in the name of "preserving the religious freedom" of one particularly foul sub-sect of one group of religious people.
And I'm thinking that that business has got to stop.

Bottom line, lovely watchers is thus- The only "difficulties" a LGBTQ child or the child of LGBTQ parent(s) ever has to face is that which is forced upon them by the bigoted jerks who were feigning concern about it in the first place. Leave the little gay kids alone. They're FINE. Their parent(s) are FINE. Everybody is FINE.
LOVE is LOVE and LOVE is ALL good. So sick of that argument "what if the kids are bullied?". Then it's the other parents responsibility to teach their child the bullying and bigotry are morally reprehensible. if people, say that I basically hear "I'm not saying it's wrong for you to be you, I just don't think people shouldn't be held accountable for harassing you"

I've lived most of my life in Rural Kentucky and something surprising happened a bit ago.
A while back I got a chainmail pride wristband off Etsy and started wearing it to my old job at a local gas station chain... and out of all the comments I got only one person was nasty about it, every single other one either was supportive or just thought the idea of chainmail was neat.
This is in Northern Kentucky, a part of the country that's more Catholic than Ireland back in the 1940s. I can walk ten miles in any direction and go past at least a dozen buildings with Saint in the name.
Funny ol' world sometimes.

This is the kind of thoughts that really kicked the whole issue over for me. Trying to explain to the kids "This kind of love is ok", "This kind of love is bad". Children don't understand that, at least, not easily.
They're actually, hypersensitive about issues of trust and friendship. They're not sexualizing anything, there's no sexual gaze to be blindsided by a pretty gal or guy. They're assessing who is loyal, who is trustworthy, who cares about you. They're more worried about someone they thought they could trust yelling at them right now than some abstract concept in a book which they can't read anyway.

Thanks, darlin. I find no end of irritation in people treating their children like some clone of themselves or some vain opportunity to live vicariously through their achievements. They have to acknowledge that they just produce a whole entirely different person, and that "they're gonna be THIS way!" mentality often hurts more than helps.

Honestly I agree with this comic entirely... though I would likely be far less polite to the bible bashers. 'HELL' is a concept used to bully people into a certain mindset or morality. Hell is a thing you create for yourself or others create for you. It isn't something that exists in another life, it is a reality of the here and now, in this life. Showing love, no matter how it is shown, is a true virtue that people forget about because of their own selfish desires or beliefs, for their own desires to say what is RIGHT and WRONG... to have the power to shape other people's fates and lives.
Children especially, deserve that right to have their own lives and fates be in their hands, with people who actively want to help them and love them no matter what choices they decide to make. People who can't understand that should just leave them alone and live their own lives.

Im not sure of your wording so I apologize if I misunderstand the Query, but I'll answer as best I understand, love.
As TST, Sanita and I both fall under Atheistic Satanism. The idea of "going to Hell" is a vulgar fiction to both of us, a moral fable often used to brow-beat the gullible, mentally\emotionally compromised or otherwise vulnerable into a state of control-hence christianity tends to lambast children with its rhetoric, before they're capable of mounting an intellectual defense against it. Teaching children that "they're going to Hell" for anything is pretty horrible to both of us. The idea of teaching them to fear "Hell" for simply being in love is appalling to me on a level I'd describe as gut-churning.
As far as "saying things are evil" goes, "Evil" not being "the opposite of good" but a deliberate and willful harm caused to a party without reason, neither I nor any other Temple Satanist I know of, has any issue with calling-out and pushing back against "evil". Many claim the tenant of "the struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit which should prevail over the law and institutions" as a functional mandate in this respect. Again, abusing children or taking advantage of another in this respect violates the concept of another tenant, that "...to willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forego your own" and must be addressed.

Huh, "Atheistic Satanist" is a new one to me sis, heh. Though the idea of needing it to be addressed, is it really worth it? I mean yes there are a hand full, like quite literally a miniscule amount of Christians that still have this mentality (whom are usually older). Though honestly, look at the world around us today. We usually grow out & away from the idea of Christianity let alone religion. Which in a way leads us into more damaging ideas in most ways sadly (MAPS, revenge, envy, extreme hatred, etc.). As humans especially from our tween years, we are evil by nature, but that's a whole other topic for another day.
Now, I'm not saying that teaching kids that hell is a dimension they will go for being an evil individual is exactly good for them, but it helps with most of their moralities (that of which I believe we're falling away from). I'm Wiccan so my beliefs are way different from our cousins. As for teaching kids about sex is not ideal either. As adults in today's society, most don't clearly understand it themselves. With all of these new genders & sexualities popping up every other week. They shouldn't even know about these things & just be kids & just LLG (Live, Learn, Grow). Especially since it's a thing no one of today can explain with logic, with this being a complex topic to very malleable minds.

Being that they're just kids & have no comprehension of what they're doing, besides imitating what they see (home, media, or what have you). If it weren't legal to discriminate against LGBTQ persons (up to and including witholding life-saving medical care) based solely upon "strongly held beliefs" in thirty-one states I might think anything you just stated had some validity besides a lukewarm attempt at centrist glad-handing, hon. Most religions are a part of this societal opportunity but Christianity alone is a big business in America with over 1.1 trillion dollars pulled in profit last year, of which a sizable amount has been put in place to do exactly as pictured here or to further the culture of sex-shaming and the empowerment of ignorance prevalent in much of our society.

However, to address your point, As much as any parent may be nervous about the notion, children will have emotional and/or physical interest in their pre-teen years, many as young as six or seven will notice a "crush". The entire point of this comics was the horrifying act of teaching children to apply morality inherit to the act based upon blatant untruth.
Personal codes of ethics based upon the faery-tales of judeo-christian religion are not morality at all, only a form of subservience to a tyrannical authority figure, fear and control. To teach a child such a thing is repugnant abuse of their budding understanding of themselves and the world around them. Child abuse is never acceptable.
Children should be given the capacity to discover much of the world at their own pace, Agreed. That was the entire point of the comic as presented. Forcing a set of farcical coding, cartoonish fables and life-shackling shame upon the innocent is an abominable act I will never excuse or forgive.

There are literally billions, many of whom have the backing financially to be extremely harmful to the advancement of the species. In the united states alone, just the members of one "prosperity gospel" church, of which there are hundreds, can number as high as several thousand, each one a drop of poison in the course of countless lives, spreading guilt, fear and self-loathing with their every empowerment both in local circles and the political theatre.
The indoctrination effect is debilitating in incalculable ways, but it is not comparable to the freedom of genuine knowledge based upon empirical evidence. These things are not equivalent in worth, scope or potential for altruistic benefit to society and the individual.

I can definitely agree that the prime Christian ideals are very harmful especially when it's based off hate. Though when it comes to shame we need it. Otherwise only the Gods know what can partake in such "freedom". Big Mouth's episode "Smooch or Share" gives example how shame can help, as sad as that may be. From the chaos that ran throughout the end of the episode.
We as people are evil by nature & we need balance to keep everything afloat. Though I'm very sure the base that Christians (unlike West baptist) aren't really that heavily involved. Though fear helps us see what's right & wrong, for if we just went off of what made us feel good then we wouldn't have jails/prisons to separate us from the evil & anarchy that we hold in our hearts & minds. As for being discriminated against for sexuality leads me to say, people shouldn't know about unless they're our doctors & some family. That's our own personal lives that no one should no because we're not banging the world, you know?

Men & women walking around damn near nude, showing no shame, performing questionable content for eyes way too young & malleable for minds that just pick up what we say is good & ok. Just nonstop lust & vanity (again not a Christian just believe in multiple practices), without a care in the world letting out the lustful anarchy that lives in us.

also I forgot to add this- a lot of Christians forget the phrase "love thy neighbor" (I don't think I spell that right lol) and "love the sinner, not the sin" & the God is love. So casting that idea & practice out the window is more then dangerous to not just the children, but everyone as a whole.

Nudity is not inherently sexual but if you wish to shame your child as such, it's your lot to traumatize them.
Either way, the entire point of this comic was that children should have the freedom to follow through on that attraction as they feel it naturally, in their own time and without shaming. Our son's sexuality is not being up to Sanita or I to determine the authenticity of nor to attach morality to.
