Well, that's not how they're defined, lol. Venomous critters store their toxins on the inside--internally--and release them through biting, stringing, yadda yadda.
POISONOUS critters usually secrete their toxins through their skin, making whoever/whatever touches/bites/whatever them, poisoned.
